  10. i pulled up that non-original mat, there is a black felt-like mat which covers the entire trunk area.so,i guess i am now ok there:) am in process of cleaning the engine, some of the paint is already gone, but have been advised to just clean it, and leave it alone. will search for the right hose clamps and replace them.the upper radiator hose, and water pump already replaced prior to my purchase. the right front fender will have to be replaced, bad dent above the outer headlight(see pic)will i be ok if i have to replace and repaint?or can it be fixed??i don't see any assembly marks, but will be watchful of them. i will have more questions i'm sure as i progress with my detailing. i want to preserve the originality of this car .

  12. ok, i will remove it before the show season. what did buick use for a mat/carpet in 75? i want to do it right.and, should i replace all the hose clamps with the correct ones, where would i get them? i will appreciate all the advice i can get. i have an offer on the trunk mat, based on it's condition in the photo, what should i ask for it?
  13. another photo of the trunk, the jack has NEVER been used!!
  14. thanks!! i plan on using a can of gunk, and a toothbrush on it. on my car,the water pump was just replaced before i bought it. i have the owners manual, and the original odometer statement from the selling dealer. i also noticed my catalytic convertor is in need of replacement.where can i get an exact replacement? has a dent in the upper front corner on the right front fender, and some minor scratches(was elderly lady's car) so will need some touch up in spots. where can i get some guide lines to aid me in my preservation of this fine car?
  15. thanks!! yes, it's a beauty, the bumper jack has never been used, it still has the gold cadmium plating on it!! i am not sure what color it is, the top is sandstone. since it is running so smooth yet, with the original wires,i'll probably wipe them off,and keep them. but i will replace the plugs ,it has autolite's in it gonna put the correct ac ones in.also,is it best to not repaint the engine??,since i will be showing it as unrestored original? for now, am just cleaning the road dust off of it.
  16. need grille for my 92 roadmaster limited. does not have to be perfect, just not broken. i cant afford to pay much,so has to be cheaply priced thanks!!
  17. i just bought a 1975 le sabre custom 4door hardtop,(4BP69),with 46,970 original miles.is all original, bumper jack has never been used(gold cadmium plating in tact)350 4bl engine. my question is this: i will enter this in local car shows in my area, as unrestored original. is it a point deduction for replacement of plug wires, distributor cap,etc during normal maintenance?? i have the original wires on it now. can anyone help??
