  1. Go to junkyarddog.com, and fill out the request form. There are 5000 used auto parts places on this site, and they will email you with what they have and how much.
  2. I was in the used auto parts business during the 60s and 70s. The slim jim was bad news in the mid sixties, matter of fact our biggest customers were the trans shops. We had some real decent builders back then and they wouldn't touch one.
  3. Well, let me see, yopu posted a request for the weight of a 1949 Mercury, and whether the grille was chrome or stainless. I gave you the requested information in good faith, and your reply was NOT NECESSARY,and I do not appreciate your attitude, I thought this was a helpful forum, not a bunch of aristocratic snobs.
  4. Oh yes, the grill on my 49 was chrome, but that was some 45 years ago.
  5. The pump fits the slant six, probably from the Valiant
  6. This may help you Mercury Lead Sled Specifications: Top Speed 120mph 0-60 7.8sec Displacement v/8 350 ci Transmission 3spd Maximum Power 380 hp @3200rpm Weight 3374 Economy 9mpg They were called the lead sled because they were real popular for customizing and in those days they used lead instead of bondo. Hope this helps.
