  1. Matt, Im not sure that I hate it as much as you. as they say an a-- for every seat!
  2. actually, in 41 they did have an actual vin. engine numbers pretty much stopped by 1934................. title may have been lost and another title substituted. can you give us a photo of the plate on your cowl?
  3. I thought it was a Polish camper YES, JOHN POLISHED IT ALRIGHT, WITH 80 GRIT SANDPAPER! LOL
  4. It will be a lot easier to find in the parking lot than your 150! Certainly not your typical design. Photos on the internet now. MY 5 YEAR OLD COULD HAVE COME UP WITH A BETTER DESIGN- FINGER PAINTING! LOL
  5. eric, nobody is pricing the woodies, which your opinion does and you are correct on that. seems most people like woodies by the time period they grew up in- just like cars in general. certainly this car would be easier to maintain and drive then say a 1934................... also easier to leave out in the rain.
  6. I was VERY glad to get rid of that truck. It was the bane of my existence for a while. looks like you were living in it, by the last photo...............
  7. Tesla reveals Cybertruck, a 6-passenger pickup featuring 3 motors, armored glass, and up to 500 miles of range Bryan Logan (blogan@businessinsider.com) Nov 22nd 2019 3:55AM and as a tow vehicle..................will it compete with my f150???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  8. depending on size, could also be a motorcycle plate. another area of collect ability.
  9. but but Bill............. looks like you own a 79 c10. oh alright then!
  10. Only here would owing a Prius be considered a crime against the world order. For shame on anyone trying to extend the distance they travel on a gallon of gas! They probably recycle too! My neighbors have owned a Prius for years, the are both in their 80s. Never had to put a new battery pack in it just seem to drive them with no issues. I’ll be sure to tell them they really should be driving a diesel pickup that’s modified to put out tons of black smoke when you press on the throttle, it’s their duty as an American to be wasteful! That 1000 years of oil reserves might require they leave their home so it can be accessed, but knowing they are contributing to the natural progression of waste makes haste should make them feel they are doing their patriotic duty. Terry, not at all against the success of the electric car or whatever.......... as a matter of fact, I am for it. but nobody likes to address that electrics are a losing proposition that are only bolstered by oil at this juncture. That shipping far out pollutes the automobile at this point and that China and India are two of the largest culprits......... but in the meantime, as an American, I am not doing enough. I cry bunk.
  11. These are popular on the west coast, because of the two doors. The price is certainly good, but I have always thought them to look a bit pregnant. avg asking price seems to be mid forties done. so not a bad buy for a car that doesnt look all rusted out.
  12. I came from the outter edge of OH 2 months ago and was assessed 28. for going about 5 exits into PA......... then hit for another 65. to take the rest of the turnpike east. good news is I didnt have a tag on my new trailer, or I would have been hit for over 40. more! PA is as insane as NJ anymore. time for the big move outta here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. You are probably too young to remember the 1970s Arab oil embargoes. No natural disasters and still there was little or no oil to be had to make fuel. Any kind of disaster, natural or man-made, can disrupt life. A significant flood would make fuel unavailable too, or at least getting it out of storage and into vehicles. Mad Max comes to mind when talking fuel availability. It has now been proven that we have at least 1000 years of oil reserves. In the 70s, oil was going to run out in a few. None of you Prius sympathizers is addressing the cost of replacement batteries either. Pretty damn expensive every 5 years or so, even if you do buy a used worn out model....... without oil subsidies, wind and sun power would have gone nowhere, and still arent up to snuff. Think Ill buy a Doble, oh yeah, I cant afford one.......
  14. Per, you wouldnt happen to have any spare wood? I particularly need the door bottoms.
  15. so Ron Heiden in Cali tells me all of the wood on a 41 is truly one year only. so he will be making my header and rear drivers back post after the first of the yr for me. the smaller pieces I will tackle myself. the 2 other areas of difficulty will be the two front doors. I have less then 50% of the wood left and it is trash. everything else should be fine. Maybe I should turn it into a towncar? yes Im clowning...........
  16. spoke with Ron Heiden out in Cali and they are different. Apparently the 42-46 is slightly shorter, but yes, can be made to fit. He will make a new header for me after the first of the year. 41 parts seem to be one year only. figures........
  17. Ron, a solar Kissel light now listed on ebay...................
  18. Im sorry Momma! Ill polish her up ta as good as new!
  19. the OP has posted on here before with the same request. not a new request, which would lead me to believe he is looking for scouts. He states he has had numerous cars...... so he isnt learning anything new from all of the rhetoric written here. you either want to work for him or you dont. simple.
  20. so Mark, tell us what was so wrong with your engine? I have never seen another PA in that price range running. I am on ebay every day now for 22 years..........
