  1. why many of us consider the conversions..........same good looks on the grill and just a good bit of sweat...............
  2. Rusty, what you say makes a lot of sense, but in the case of a 46 chevy pickup- I nice half ton is 35k. A large running flatbed can be bought for 1/10 th of that...................true.
  3. they hold strong value in the European markets.........
  4. worst case scenario, you might have to shorten the chassis in the back.
  5. well, as long as you have time, you should find what you want in a year or two. I dont see this specific model all that often.
  6. THE PRICE YOU ARE CONSIDERING IS RIGHT ON. 7-8k is about right. parted out it is worth that. If you are determined to sell it, put together your ads, ebay Craigslist or wherever. Just understand that you arent selling to a purist, who might offer you 3k.
  7. Everyone loved the Linus Pauling family. Oh well, I have a V12 Mercedes which my Maserati would have been if it could have been. And Bruce took B.O.S. at "The Beach" a couple or three years ago with his own SS38/250. Carl, the stories are worth more then the cars, and you have some good ones! relish the past that you were so fortunate to have. I grew up in a po boy neighborhood and have some of my own, but none touches yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. it has some nice components, but in the end, is pieced together, so not for a purist. however there is still a market, just dont expect to buy a new house with the proceeds.
  9. need to know years on parts. if a mixed bag, then value isnt very high. just the newer motor takes much value out.
  10. MAYBE A MIXED BUNCH OF PARTS styled after an early brass car.
  11. i DONT FIND THE PRICE OF THE HUDSON HIGH AT ALL. YOU EITHER WANT IT OR YOU DONT. It is a rodders dream and who will buy it. this discussion comes up often on the Ford Barn and guys complain over and over, the price is too high. Fella in NH always says, I get far more and far easier sales from rodders. no complaints either! while the "purists moan"................................
  12. the 190sl to me, has always looked anemic. a chicks car. the 200 series on the other hand, I always liked. Very hard to look at a 190 when the 300 sl was out and had perfect proportions and power. I feel the same with the single headlight vettes of 1955-57. just not my cup of tea.
  13. ps I believe hokey ass message board.........................
  14. Anyway if I end up with Old #8 you can vidit assuming same deal if you do instead! 😉 the liquor seems to be getting thicker...................Ill do it quicker!
  15. that a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. 1919 Ford Model T Coupe 7950 on the HAMB car located in WI
  18. Heck, you add a tow hitch to the back, hook up the new vertible you just bought and run down to see Ed in Florida. He says he'ld be glad to sort that thing out for ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently he's a master at it.
  19. That means the American worker has to make up for the lost income taxes to keep the government running and they have to do it with less good paying jobs. YOU MEAN LIKE THE POST OFFICE AND THE INTERNET???????????????
  20. i THINK TRIM HAS AN OLD TIMEY PIERCE FRIDGE THAT COULD BE SET UP IN THE BACK AND A CAMPER COULD BE MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Randy, that bus is YOU! will fit neatly in your new garage.
  21. they were sold out a couple of months back. the technology for 58k is nothing short of amazing. try and buy a ferrari or porsche for that.
  22. Matt, you do realize that farmers have been subsidized for the last 100 years???????? this is nothing new. When I attended K state, 58 bushels of wheat could be pulled from an acre of land. today that number is over 200 bushels from the same acre. Farmers will always be going out of business, as long as their is Monsanto and super breeding. nothing to do with tariffs that have existed for a year. do you homework.
