Are either of these cars still in existence somewhere???

Wow! Would have swapped my 12 Buick out for this baby! Always a day late.... (or in this case, a year)

I would also suggest ash or oak for your running boards. They are good lard woods. I have a seat, riser and carb I just listed on ebay. If you give me the length of your seats needed, I can go out to the garage and measure mine to see if it would be of any help. The only color listed for your car is dark blue. Your car cost 1000. new and is rated at 22hp. Good luck. rdz69@aol.com

JC Taylor all the way. No hassles, easy and can be done right over the phone.

Curious as to whether a 51 four door is the same chassis as the four door wagon? Am interested in transferring the wagon body to the four door chassis. I know the rear pan is different. Are the front doors the same size? How difficult would this be or basically impossible?

Generally, a 3 speed is not that desirable. For years, I've seen automatics pull as much as 4 speeds, due to there drive ability. Only in the last few years, have I seen 4 speeds go for more than autos. My assumption is that most people aren't overly excited about a 3 speed. But, speaking of your car, yes, it is one of the hottest at the moment! My brother has the same car, and they are fetching a pretty penny.

Good luck. Parts are not readily available. That is why so many people collect A's and T's.

You're right. Hard as hens teeth to find one to buy. The early stuff all seems to be packed away.

How much is this bad boy going for?

Anyone out there with an extra body? May be able to use 27 or 29 body as well? rdz69@aol.com

Paul, how bad is the body? rdz69@aol.com Ron

Thank you guys! Will do.

The car is worth the price without the wood kit. You did well. Just saw a nice driver at Hershey. Was asking 52k, which was very fair.

Bought a 28' Buick model 51 off of Craigs list a couple of weeks back. Hasn't been run in many years. No starter came with it and the top was hacked off. " Looks like a true phaeton from 100 yards out." Anyway, poured some gas into the plug holes and had my son tow me around the yard. She fired right up, but that's where we ended. Can anyone tell me how to prime up the vacuum tank? Sorry for sounding so incompetent, I just am. Would I be better off hooking up an electric 6 volt pump for cruising or just keeping the Stewart tank? Much o gracious!

nice deal!

If any other year fits, please let me know. Just bought car and starter is missing. Also, looking for open windshield and top irons and seats.

I believe the 53 engine was hooked to a dynaflow. That's where the confusion is. Thought for sure it would bolt right up. My buddy said there was a gap and he could not marry the engine and trans together with the torque converter. He is familiar enough with engines, to understand the pilot bearing situation. It was a few years ago, so I need to give him a call and see exactly what the problem was. I can only guess that I may need a 53 trans., but that just doesn't make sense to me either.

Yes, that's the one. They lined up 6 2 cylinder engines into the frame. Does it still exist or did it blow up???
