  1. Hi Tim and welcome to the group.  I had a similar seat issue.  I found out if I pulled up on the switch it would then work correctly.  I fixed it a few years later by taking  out the passenger seat, i think then i just removed a side panel by the seat controls and was able to prop up the controls to the correct position.  Sometimes I tell people new to the car "dont push down on the switches".  You'll find this group very devoted, helpful and friendly.  Unlike some other car groups I'm in.  Let us know where you are at and maybe someone is close.  If your ever out Denver way look me up.  I've worked in anti money laundering but your background sounds way more interesting.

You can connect with the TCA Owners Club president to join at email TCAOwnersClub@gmail.com and tell him Hemi is paying.  I wish I'd tried that before.

  2. Thanks Ronnie, I just mentioned that to him.

Right now its a snow day.  We just had a foot of snow and will get snow for the next 12 hours.

Question, The new fuel pump isnt getting power, works with a jumper wire thou.  Anyone know where the fuel pump power comes from?  I havent checked the manual yet.

  3. Sent my new to me 16v, car had not been started since 2009 (14 years), over to my mechanic to get running and replace the head gasket.  I started the car when I looked at it by spraying carb cleaner into the intake.  Started right up and I ran it for about 8 seconds.  Months later car went to my mechanic who flushed the gas tank, replaced the fuel pump, blew out the lines. put in new gas.  Tank looked fine.

Car will turn over fine and chuging along but will not start.  There is 55 psi fuel pressure.  He checked codes and said he tried to reset them.  Some went away and some didnt.  He didnt tell me the codes that didnt reset.

The new fuel pump will only run if on a jumper wire, does not run on its own.  My mechanic said the fuel pressure regulator is not returning fuel to the tank and floods the engine.  He saw fuel in the cylinders.

When checking the spark he said it looked a little low.

Have not done a compression test yet.

    Thanks for your help.

  4. Welcome Kim. I admire your background.  I drive one of these, well two.  And thats about my car knowledge.  Changing the accumulator is more than a probably.  And yours is original with the label on the top.  I bought my last two from TC Parts in Arizona.  Another must is to replace the rubber fuel lines in the engine.  Turbo and gas not a good combination.  On the leather I like to treat with leatherique. leatherique.com  Again welcome and keep us updated.  This site is a great place for the right information from people that really know what they are talking about.  I get to Tampa about once a  year so hope to see you out there.  I would recommend you get the blue cover service manual off ebay or maybe someone here has an extra. The red cover is for 90,91 with v6 or 16v.

  5. Okay, found all the pictures at the seller sight.  What a nice car.  Didnt see the vin on our vin update list.  Does anyone know the original owner?  Just curious.  Pictures dont show the tool kit, and cant see where the umbrella would go.  But wow what a nice looking car.  Changed my view of the light yellow color.
