the two ten convertible plate shows its either 53 or 54 as that's the only years they were made. -
Why not use a 6 volt alternator ? The model A ford guys use them a lot.

no 28 29 radiator shells were stainless steel,they were painted black or nickel plated very late 29s may have been chrome.

1957 265 cu engines came from the factory painted yellow.they were not very common. -

YES I WAS WORKING AT A CHEVROLET STORE IN 1956 AND I PUT ON MY NEW 1956 CHEVY. IT USED A SPECIAL CENTER SECTION TO HOLD THE WHEEL.THEY HAD A CHEVROLET PART NUMBER AND EVERY DEALER HAD TO TAKE ONE,THATS HOW I GOT MINE THEY GAVE IT TO ME TO GET RID OF IT.

automatic trans cranks were not drilled for standard trannys.the crank hole is not deep enough,stick a screwdriver in the hole and compare with your tranny.once in a while thay will fit,i have had some that were deep enough but the pilot bushing would fall out.seems that auto cranks were standard shift rejects

I have a 65 Monza coupe dark blue -white interior 110 with pg ,fun car to drive. had a 63 sedan in the late 60s the kids called it stinky,The defrosters kept the windshield well oiled,that was the only part that didnt rust.

try a welders supply company,most of them carry 00 cable by the foot and can put the starter end on.its the same as on welding cable.

there is too much side trim for a delray looks like a belair,not in that bad shape for a 58 shame it could not be restored.belair two doors are in big demand.

i see a lot of talk about painting the inside of tailights for more light,silver or white were mentioned,is one brighter than the other?

motorcycle fork oil is also very good and comes in different weights such as 10 weight up to about 50 weight.

the tank was not full of paint.it was full of water with a layer paint on top,the parts were suspended overhead on a moving cable that diped the part down through the paint and into the water and while it was moving came back up through the paint and went into a oven to dry. i have seen new model a ford fenders and the finish was perfect. dupont centari that has been buffed is about as close to the dipped fenders as you can get.
