  1. Everyone, please disregard the initial post. Thx!
  2. Appreciate the feedback. What you are saying makes sense, I’ll do some more investigation. Thanks!
  3. I put vacuum on the hose going to the release switch and it has a very small leak. While depressing the brake pedal and applying vacuum, the switch holds vacuum. This seems opposite of how I thought the switch should work. My cruise control works fine, but engine idle rpm changes with car in gear when brake pedal is depressed. So I found this condition while searching for a vacuum leak. thx,
  4. I need a little clarification on the function of the cruise release switch. I disconnected the vacuum line that goes to the release switch and applied vacuum and there was a very small leak. I then depressed the brake pedal and the leak virtually went away. This seems opposite of what I thought it should work. The cruise seems to work fine. thanks.
  5. Can anybody help me. The car starts and idles Ok, and will rev-up while in neutral. But acts like the car's starving for fuel when you try to accelerate. There are no fault codes. I've checked the fuel pressure, it's around 38 psi. The book tells you to check the knock sensor, TPS, and catalytic converter. The car does have 160K, and I would suspect the converter, but is there a east way to check the knock sensor. ja
