  1. Hi.. Gold is the right color If you have more questions about the 58 ( or other 50's Oldsmobiles ) You can also try my website / forum Oldsmobile 1958
  2. I have placed the car on the buy and sell forum of the 1958 Oldsmobile website. Hope that helps. www.oldsmobile1958.com
  3. I agree with the post above. I am not an expert on 56 models ( I go for the 58's ). The difference between the S88 and 98 are probably : * longer wheelbase * Different interior * More electrical options like windows and seats
  4. I agree with you that the 58 Olds is not the most wanted one. You either hate or love it. But I am really glad that I own one. I see the 58 Oldsmobile as an piece of art. Those beautiful lines together with all the stainless and chrome. One thing is sure.. everywhere I go with my car, she makes the show.

I am over visiting from my usual Jeep boards and have a question I am hoping someone can answer. While digging in the basement, I came across an AM radio that my dad held onto when he sold our '58ish Olds. It was removable and included 4 AA batteries and a speaker. Not intended as a theft deterent, but as a "portable" radio. I am guessing it was one of the first transistor radios. Made by Delco, naturally. "Working when removed" applies, but of course that was in 1962 LOL!! Sorry on the lack of specifics, I was 8 when he sold it. Alas, I tried 4 fresh batteries and got nothing. Before I toss this in the trash, I would really like to hear some info on it. Maybe somebody is restoring their heap and has a big hole in the dash that needs filling. Not really for sale. More interested in the history, as my dad was an Olds man. </div></div> If you are interested in the history and specs of the 1958 Olds Maybe this can be interesting www.oldsmobile1958.com
