  1. They are like Dodo birds...... rare but nobody cares.
  2. Those parts are pot metal and very fragile. When you pull the horn button tube out of the steering column , you will be able to remove those parts. Ive never used that plater.
  3. Jim Call Don Bettes in Cleveland Ohio, I saw him a few days ago and he has a collection of rotary headlight switches and handles .I saw many that looked just like the Franklin used .The Franklin switches were made by Clum and used by many other car mfgs. call 419 683 3174 He is a great guy and eager to help out fellow collectors. Mike
  4. My dad bought our first Franklin in Watkins Glenn, NY at the Concours DElegance for $350.00 with new paint and tires , drove it home . There was a 1929 Duesy J blind quartered sedan that was priced at $2000.00 . Dad thought it was over priced , a heavy gas hog .... My opinion , for what its worth, is cars that are price accurately are easy to sell.

  9. Bill Look on the side of the transmission for a pipe plug (Usually with a square head) take it out and fill until the oil just drips out . I buy 180 WT at a tractor supply store. The 90 wt sold at most auto parts store is too light weight.
  10. Like I said I thought the 1000 was pretty hefty for a off brand flathead. I wa sjust trying to get a handle on it . My brother has a overhead set up for a T ROOF I think . and he thought that was worth 1000. Mike
  11. That's a scarce piece Im sure, but curious how you priced it at $1000.00 I have some interesting Model T aftermarket parts and have found unless they were fancy wire wheels or true speed equipment , that they were as valuable as the stock parts. Im not knocking the head , just curious.
  12. Neat jack! When I go to the flea markets you always see old jacks but I rarely look at them. I would think you can find one without tooo much trouble.
  13. At $4500.00 Id let it go to anyone that will pay you that much . There is one in my area for 6500 with a old restoration that is a good driver. Good luck with your sale.
  14. Mike , It shouldn't be a problem. Do you have the assembly ? You will need the link that goes between the handle and the arm on the trans. Let me know if you need parts. They aren't hard to come by. PS You are going to need the correct bell housing that came with the Detroit and you will need to have the drive shaft shortened.
  15. Both good gear boxes .... I have several used gearboxes if you need one. Mike 585 738 1541
  16. Yes the bike has been relisted for sale. My phone is 585 738 1541 Im around every day Mike
  17. "Back in the day" all the car shows around here ,including our local AACA Livingston Region , charged a modest fee. It was usually $3.00-$5.00 per car to enter and every car entered got goods that equaled or exceeded the fee charged. Now fast forward 40 years and like Walter says above, the show promoters have there hand out for $15-20 bucks. The last shows our region put on the local businesses donated funds for the trophy's and we were able to keep our registration fees to a min.
  18. The seller doesn't even call it a Open Front town car, One would think if it was he would know it.
  19. I think someone has cut a 7 pass sedan to make it LOOK like a open town car Again IO may be wrong but it looks CUT . Its a common practice my opportunists or back in the day when nobody cared, I MAY BE WRONG! smile...
  20. It looks like a sedan that's had a haircut ! I may be wrong but.....don't think so.
