Sandys Bumper Mart on Wall st Syracuse NY has done some work for me. Its not Pebble work but good drive quality. He has his own tanks and been there since Christ was a corporal. -

Why not have a copy made from 3d imagery and printing?
-
Chris , The car will make a beauty! You are the right one to fix it.
-
Or just hire someone with a screw driver, pump plyers and a piece of welding rod to stop over and start it.
-
Nic car , low production, color will hurt it ,in my opinion.
-
Bring it to Livonia NY, go get a lunch and come back and drive it on your trailer.

Matt , Its one of those "Rare Long Wheelbase Models" -
Matt, I dont know what the problem is but im almost sure the mechanism is chain driven. Ive had several mid 20s Cadillac doors apart and all had chains and sprockets.

Where is your family car today?? Why after all those years was it sold?? Can it be bought back?? Please post a picture of it. Mike

Take out all four plugs and record the compression 1-4. Next use your squirt oil can and give each cylinder 4-5 shots of motor weight oil (20 or 30 weight). Then check the compression and record what you find 1-4. Lastly post your results.

My 1910 Mitchell "parts car" project
mikewest replied to JV Puleo's topic in Our Cars & Restoration Projects
Joe, The torque tub on your car is entirely different then on my model S. Or maybe it just looks different because I didn't have the Sheetmetal cover over the top to keep the road crap out?? Mine has a spool that adjusts in or out and a lock that retains it. -
Bob , If you find it I would be interested in the true age of the machine. Mike

I agree. I was going to try enlarge the holes myself , but at $35.00 er wheel its a no brainer to let them fit them.

Im looking for at least a 4 inch up to 5 inch flange as shown flat or for rounded tanks. If I can buy or borrow one Ill have several cast at the Cattail Foundry in Bronze. This one shown is only 3.5 inches. Mike West Livonia NY 585 738 1541

I was in Lancaster PA today to pickup some castings at Cattail Foundry and a set of wheels at Witmer Coach that the made new. I took with me a set of wood wheels that had I wanted different hubs installed. Here is the big wheel lathe he uses to grab the outside and remachine the center to a larger ID. The machine uses the compound like any other engine lathe with a tool post motor. He has a long end mill in the compound and opens up the center slick as a mink. The machine is well over 100 years old. Ive never seen one. tHE JAWS on the face plate are reversible like any other face plate.

I was thinking small series Packard as well. The truck was sold by Meyer Chevrolet to Oscar Smith who ran a feed store.
