  1. hey, gimme a break. i said i didn't remember.
  2. The speakers are, if i can remember from when i did it, 3 1/4. i have sony explodes, which work well, because i ended up cutting the wires to the tweeters cuz those went bad, and the sonys have good treble. I suggest that you drive the car up to the place where you get your speaker, because you want to make sure that you get the right wire harness the first time so you doin't have to run back. Also, talking about taking the door off, be careful taking the covers off from the screws of the fixed handles. the plastic from those will break easily. if you have any trouble/ questions, e-mail me @ T007JBN64@aol.com I have done this many times.
  3. Have you tried resetting the unit to your remote? this page tells you how http://reatta.net/faq/remotes.html
  4. in my 89 reatta, all of a sudden, the blowers will remain on after the car is turned off. They remain on until the battery dies. i have switched a new relay around to see if one was bad, but it has made no difference. If anyone might know what could be causing this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Taylor Weaver.
  5. I was wondering if anyone out there has had a problem with a rusted brake line. Mine is rusted through, and somehow reads that it is on, and displays it, even though it is not possible that it could even be on. Has anyone had a simpilar problem and figured out some way of fixing that line, or atleast making the annoying parking brake announcement come up?
  6. Yea, that is exactly whats wrong with it, and thanks for that cuz i just went up to a dealership, and they said it'd be about $365. Your $89 is sounding pretty nice compared to that By the way, what is that auto shop that you are talking about? because i live about 10 minutes away from north olmsted.
  7. has anyone figured out any good ways to regain lost horspower and/or get some better gas mileage? either would be great to know. thanks.
  8. My touchscreen just went, and i was wondering if anyone might happen to know if someone migh happen to know where the easiest place to go get one might be for someone who lives on the west side of cleveland, ohio. if anyone happens to know, it would be greately appreciated. thanks.
  9. I would say that it is all up to you. if the old tweeter sounds terrible, just disconnect it. but if it still sounds good, i say sit in your car, and listen to something with the old ones connected, and then with the old ones off, and just see what you think sounds better.
  10. My reatta is having a bit of trouble starting lately. It will start but stall as soon as i start moving. When it eventually starts running, it runs fine though, so i think it may have something to do with dirty fuel injectors? I have heard both good and bad about the fuel injector cleaners, and i am wondering if it will be ok to use on my '89 reatta. If anyone out there knows wheter or not this would be a good idea, it would be greatly apreciated
  11. actually, i think i found out the problem. now my keyless entry won't work, and whenever I try to unlock the doors from the inside the keyless entry box makes a weird thump. does anyone know where i might be able to get a replacement for it?
  12. somehow, my driver door will not unlock. the unlock button will unlock the passenger door, but not the driver. also, the lock button will lock both doors. If anyoneone has any idea what could be wrong, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  13. I had the same proble, a little while ago. I took it into the mechanic and got all the spark plugs and wires changed. when i drove it out of the place, it was much, much worse, so I took it back in. It ended up that the ignition coils were bad, so they had to be replaced. In the end, it was alittle expensive, maybe 150 or so, i don't quite remember, but it was well worth it.
  14. i just found something in another post that states that in a certain person's car, their rear defroster would only work after the engine had heated to a certain point. I kind of rushed into putting my question into the post, because i had done all that work only to have it not work, but the car had only been on for about 10 minutes, straight from idle, before i turned the car off. is there a possibility that it is set so that after a certain point, power will be supplied to that loop at the top?
  15. i just kind of noticed, with all the snow and all, that on the rear window, ther is a defroster look right near the top, but in my car, id does not work. While the regular grid that goes all the way across the window works fine. I noticed that some of the grid had flaked off, so I went to NAPA and bought a kit to help replace it, which actually worked great. however, i went to go test it on some freshly fallen snow, and it still wouldn't work. So i took out a tester and tested the grid to see if it was getting power, and there wasn't anything even coming out of the wires. I was wondering if this is something that is common in reattas, and if there is some way to fix this. Thanks.
