  1. Just as I suspected... I have looked at that picture before when I first did a horn button, but haven't looked in ten years. Cup "K" is illustrated backwards. I have done this at least twenty times on 55's. It should look like this (and in the order as illustrated).
  2. No advice from me, but I empathize.
  3. I have to look at one tomorrow, but I think cup "K" is supposed to be the other way around. The bottom of that cup fits through the hole in the ring and attaches directly to the wheel with the nut. The spring pushes the horn ring out and away from the wheel. When you push the ring, it grounds and completes the horn circuit.
  4. I think Willie meant he is going to Colorado before heading east (to the meet).
  5. For those of you who don't know, I am going on the Great Race again as Pat and Pat's support driver. My 12 year old son Woody is my assistant. The first leg of my summer vacation (to Springfield) is surprisingly the closest BCA National in a while, which is why I am adding bumpers and generally having too much confidence in the wagon.
  6. Adding my twelve year old navigator who will truly appreciate the surroundings (if not the company).
  7. Just sent you a PM, Frank. That icon Ben spoke of will have a red #1 on it now.
  8. These results make me happy. Screw the apathetic voters. Congrats fellas
  9. I can't answer your specific question, but found out recently that some pulleys were riveted onto the balancer. I DON'T think this is the case with your car. It is probably just slightly rusted. Use some PB Blaster and soak it. Removing the harmonic balanced bolt won't help.
  10. If we are talking about the front brakes, Ed is correct. If we are talking about the rears, it could be the parking brake is engaged. Also, with self adjusting brakes, the adjustment is opposite of what I am used to. In other words, instead of prying up to tighten, you pry down. I realize you are joking, but don't break the backing plates...they don't make new ones of those.
  11. I will be leaving Wednesday morning. Should be there Thursday around noon.
  12. I took care of the most important thing to address on my wagon today: (Nice bumper)
  13. Send it here. It's good, fast and cheap. Which is extremely rare. http://wiperman.com
  14. A lot of suppliers sell the chrome lift handle style belts. Don't buy from CARS, they are buying from somewhere else. Google for other suppliers (Juliano's comes to mind) and for your back seats, get 50" belts or only your biggest friends will be able to use them.
  15. Even if you cut to those measurements, there is always 3" too much on each hose except maybe the shorty anyway.
  16. I feel for you northern folk who put your cars away in the winter. I haven't done any test driving on my wagon, which I am bringing to Springfield. Not worried about anything, just haven't driven it.
  17. Was definitely only a moisture problem in my garage compared to Katrina and Iowa flooding. The reason I posted my pics were that a few folks had emailed me to check in. Mark's pics were scary comparatively.
