This may not apply to you, but also check the parking brake cable if it is riding on the bottom side of the torque tube. I am missing the rubber grommet in the retainer and rattles like an SOB.
This happens with all torque tube rear ends.
An incorrect, but easy fix is to stick a piece of rubber fuel line over the threaded portion (behind the horseshoe). Cut it long so it hits before the horseshoe does.

Totally normal.
WD-40 (or similar) on the Dynaflow linkage at the driver's side rear of the engine, will quiet it for a while.

Are your brakes adjusted tighter than you would think "normal"?
Like 6-7 clicks instead of 12 that the manual suggests?

You need to unplug the buzzer. That's what I did on my 63 Wildcat. It truly sounds awful.

Yeah, I have never seen that rubber band around a torque ball. Are you sure it isn't the old one that just stuck on when you pulled the retainer off?
I admit the latest retainer I have changed is a 55.

I know one of the "professionals" work. He is terrible.

The nozzle would keep it on the tube, then you could remove it and replace the gas cap.

Put WD40 on the vent control cables, and they working them gently. They will work very smoothly with some lube and regular use.

If they are really crunchy, use PB blaster to better penetrate. You can actually kinda lightly bend them to loosen, as well.

My two cents.
Diamondback makes a better product and is a better company to deal with. I buy from them regularly for customers.
I will still buy Coker bias ply tires which look better, are necessary for judging high-point cars, and last longer on cars not driven as often as they should.

Willie and I talked about it and we want to find a can which fits over the filer tube, then drill a proper size hole with a uni-bit. Maybe put a small vent hole in it. I am seriously on this. I came up with a few cans last night (burp) but then put em in recycling.

For you young fellers out there (and gals), this all got worse in the mid 1970's with the introduction of unleaded gas and the smaller nozzle that was designed to be introduced into a restricted filler neck on the car. I like Paul's idea. I modified a gas cap to do the same thing, but lost it. I don't drink milk...wonder if a beer can can be modified?

I actually will wrap a few layers of paper towels around the nozzle to catch the gas from the burp. I also pull the nozzle out so I can see when it is coming up the filler pipe. Just have to take your time.

BTW, reading this on my phone without my glasses on really piqued my interest. I was wondering why you needed help with a farting issue.

That, combined with slowing way down when you think it is going to be full.
Yes, both of these suggestions involve guesses.

Now you have two "drivers".
A lot of good stuff been done to it. That isn't a bad thing. Totally worth what you paid.
That is a Tanks Inc. gas tank. Just move the electric pump back and get a new rear metal fuel line (Inline will sell just that separately). Clear the crud out of the drain holes, that should prevent further rocker damage. The tires will work for now. I can't tell on the seats. The door panels look good to me.
