  1. Dumb question here, I have no experience with the V-6. Was it turbocharged? Stephen 89 TII
  2. Hey TwinCamFan, Although my first Mopar was a 1961 Dodge Dart Seneca station wagon, my second and favorite was a 69 Dart GTSport, 340. Wish I still had it. I have had many mopars in the past, settled on a Durango now, along with the TC.
  3. Hi Jeff, I had the speaker noise problem in our 89 TC. I had the radio overhauled, it did not make any difference. Not knowing if replacing the speakers would fix the problem, I got a set of the cheapest I could find at Best Buy for about 30 buck. They were a return. These were for the doors only, I think they were 5 and 1/4 inch. They had no amps on them as the originals do and they work great. The noise is gone. Again, I am pretty sure they were a standard 5 and a quarter inch. Let me know if you need me to check the size or if you got yours out. They are pretty easy to remove, can do it without removing the door panel. Good luck, Stephen TCA# 2698 89 TII Cab/Bor
  4. Hi Jeffrey, Sorry for the dumb question, but what is an ipod? Is it like CD player? If so I have an older 6 bay changer, made by alpine, I think. It was my brothers and I took it out of his Saab. It has a box that sits behing/under the radio and leads that hook into the antenna cable in series. I tune to a low FM station and it plays through the radio, using the radio vol control. It has a small wireless remote to change CDs. Works pretty well, the big test will be the ride to Laughlin next week. Stephen
  5. Hey TCFan, I will be there if all goes as planned. It is not too far of a drive for me, only about 800 miies or so, one way from Northern CA. I have been working on our TC also, mainly concentrating on the A/C conversion. A hose went bad so I decided to do the whole thing. I ended up replacing everything but the condensor and the evaporator, which I flushed out a lot. Driving through the desert, I want that A/C to work well. Today is wash/waxing. I think everything else is done, I hope. See you there, Stephen 89 TII Cab/Bor
  6. Kirk, I had a simular problem. The code pointed to the temp sensor switch and a problem with the fuel injectors. I replaced the two wire temp sensor switch located on the right side of the water box, not to be confused with the temp gage sender unit. The part was $20 from Chrysler, # 1-05226374. I also replaced the distributer pickup assembley. And then I removed the fuel injector wiring connectors, they were all corroced green. I cleaned the connections on the injectors and on the wire plugs, used new dielectric grease on them. I started the car and it purrs. The engine light, which had come on permanent, went out. Hope this helps, Stephen
  7. Hi Dave, I had the same problem with my TC. The bulbs were all good, turns out the rivited electrical connection on the plastic block was rusted enough to stop the current passing to the bulbs. So I drilled out the rivit, cleaned the connection, and put in a small nut and bolt. That was two years ago, still works fine. Stephen
