  1. I'm not sure what the AC problem was but they put a rebuild kit in and it works. Something was said to my wife about the Freon being wrong. The lady we bought it from said the AC never worked.
  2. I will check that again but when we had it on the rack we shook the exhaust pretty hard and didn't see any contact with the frame. thanks for the idea. Car is now out of the shop and the air conditioner WORKS for the first time since we bought the car 3 years ago.
  3. We have a 1990 TC experiencing a clunking whenever we hit a bump. It sounds as if it is in the left rear side panel and it's not anything to do with the shocks as we had it on a rack and checked. Anyone ever heard of a problem like this. I thought it was a busted shock but it's not. Driving the car with my hand on the outside panel I can feel it. TIA jc
  4. My wife drives her daily, except for the last two weeks since it's at the dealers being fixed. She loves her car and wouldn't sell or trade for anything. 1990 white/ginger/ginger V6.
  5. Thanks for the link. I just noticed I asked for a vlave cover instead of a valve cover. Nice typing, Jim. I used to go to Spikey's LaBaron page but he has moved I guess. Yes, we have the V6 Mitsubishi and I will check that site. Thanks again.
  6. I have a 90 TC with the Mitsubishi engine and need to change the valve cover gaskets. I have replaced the front one but the rear one looks really tough to get to. I was wondering if there was an easy way to get to it or if the intake needs to be removed to access the valve cover. Anybody have any info for me? Thanks, jc/Oakley, CA
  7. I really enjoy your project reports and just wanted to wish you well and a quick recovery. My wife had an anterior fusion three weeks ago and is doing great, walking and everything. You will also soon. Hang in there. Jim and Joyce 1990 TC Tan over White V6 Auto
  8. Thanks for the head's up on that site. Nice to see some logo stuff especially the denims. Now we can show our colors. jc Oakley, CA
  9. BAck up light relay is located under the hood, right side, right next to another one, the "safety shutdown relay".
  10. looking at the manual there is a splicelocated under the instrument panel on the driver side, X2 is it's designation. there is a backup relay located under the hood, right side fender, a pair of relays, it's the one toward the front of the car under the ETAX Controller, what ever that is. Good luck. hope this helps.
  11. Found the short. The rear window defroster cable got pinched when the top was raised last. that's the short version but since that was in the electrical circuit that fixed the problem. jc
  12. Try Pep Boys. They have the ones for the hood acording to a letter in the TC AMERICA NEWSLETTER. Good luck.
  13. Blew a fusible link Thursday night, in the fuse #16 circuit, radio, interior lights, etc. I would appreciate any info on how to locate the short that could be causing this. Dealer has the car right now, fixed it once and it blew driving away. I have never dealt with fusible links before but have read the manual. Hope someone out there may have had a similar problem. Thanks, jc
  14. I would appreciate any info concerning where I could purchase a replacement horn for my TC. I can't find one local. Can anyone provide a source for a new horn? Thanks jc
  15. You might want to check this website :http://www.ece.arizona.edu/~spikey/FanMotor/HowTo.shtml Spikey has a LaBaron (TC wannabe) and has a great site for working on the Mitsubishi V6. Good luck, jc
