  1. I am trying to fill in the PA-100 tax form to get a transient vendor certificate for my Hershey spaces. One of the questions ask for the "promoter number". Can anyone give it to me? The phone is busy at the AACA office this morning. Dealing with tax forms is always fun!?@. Also why doesn't the Hershey Region have a website that deals with this kind of information. They also need one to provide updates on the show and what changes are being made. Alan
  2. Oh that is really breaking my heart! You should hear Mr Hypocrite squirm when asked about why he travels on private jets. His one trip on a private jet pollutes the air a lot more than joe six pack in his Camaro. ASW
  3. A Stanley has no transmission. The crankshaft is geared directly to the rear axle with a 1.5 to 1 ratio gearset. ASW
  4. Not so great about 8-10 miles per gallon. But you have to keep in mind my car is heavy. It weighs about 4000 pounds partly wet without passengers. Add a full tank of water and 5 passengers and we are talking heavy iron. So the mileage isn't that bad. Its as good as my old 1976 Caddy with 500 cubic inches. But I bet I get more fun per mile than some of you gas car guys! ASW
  5. [color:\\"red\\"]STEAM! Steam cars are low pollution vehicles. I normally run my Stanley on a mix of diesel and gasoline. I bet it would run on biodiesel. And we need some more steam cars on tours anyway! ASW
  6. I suspect part of the idea behind these "barn fresh" appearing restorations is some owners thumbing their nose at the judging system. Those cars also draw a crowd. There is a lot of interest in unrestored cars these days. BTW the if the Stanley is the Gentlemen's Speedy Roadster that was on the show field last year the car does have a provenance. It is not 100% fake like some that exist. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Alan
  7. When will we be able to get into the Flea Market and set up our goodies? I think the show officially starts on Tuesday but can we get into the flea market on Monday afternoon. It would be helpful for those who arrive early. Alan
  8. I received word yesterday that former AACA President Bob Garrison passed away after being ill for several months. The funeral will be tomorrow in Dectaur, GA. I will miss him and offer condolences to his wife Jo and family. Alan Woolf
