  1. Hello, I rarely look at this board but just happened to do so today. I talked to my son about your problem because he used to own a Shelby Daytona and he is a trained mechanic. He had the same problem. He had to replace the MAP to solve the problem. He stated that the MAP and the computer are one piece of equipment for this vehicle and that it was very expensive to purchase. If you haven't found a source yet, we will check local salvage yards for a used one, let you know what the price is, and send it if you want. I hate to see so many questions on this board go unanswered. Ray
  2. Hi, You will probably hear from Ian, the person responsible for the WPC website and he happens to be from Canada. He helped me understand my 61 Canadian Windsor. The information may be the same for yours, based on your comments. My 61 Windsor is the same as the U.S.A. Newport; (economy offering that year, 361 2bbl) the only difference is the interior fabric/vinyl-it is from a 61 Dodge Polara. Ian though that the interior material was actually an upgrade from the Newport. Ray
  3. I have found a 1972 New Yorker Brougham with a rusted out body and a good engine. Can someone tell me what the horsepower/torque specs are? In addition, can I install this engine in a 61 Chrysler and mate it to the 61 trans. I want to keep the push buttons. If it won't mate to a 61 trans, are there any options? Thanks
  4. Has anyone out there had any dealings with SMS Auto Fabric out of Portland. They say that they can provide fabric for my Canadian Chrysler but I am concerned. I have been going through a resto place in Canada to find fabric and they have had a horrible time with a fabric supplier and I don't want to go through that again- the mill has been in posession of my money for approximately 6 months and keep promising delivery. It may be the same organization, for all I know. Thanks, Ray
  5. Can someone help me with deciphering the following trim code for a 1961 Chrysler? RBE Thanks.
  6. I have a chance to buy new matching fabric for my 61 Windsor-Candian made. Can someone tell me how much I need to order. It is approximately $100 a yard (60" wide) so I want to make sure that I order what I need. The seats are are a combination of fabric panels and vinyl surround. The back seat is mostly fabric and the front seat has 2 panels of fabric. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ray
