Is there going to be a special rate at the Embassy Suites for AACA members? I am ready to book now, but will wait if there is going to be a special rate. Best rate for Friday night is $290 logging in as a Hilton Honors member, so I am hoping there will be a discounted rate for the show.

We had a great time at the show and fortunately had a great spot for our car in the shade! Thanks to everyone in the Tidewater region and National Staff for their hard work organizing an amazing AGNM.

1964 Buick Skylark 2dr sport coupe, 300 4-barrel engine, factory 4-speed, 2 owner, AACA senior/preservation. Numbers matching engine/trans/frame/VIN tag. Car underwent frame off restoration in mid 1990s. Stored in temp controlled garage ever since, and driven less than 1000 miles since restoration. Painted with PPG acrylic laquer. All NOS chrome used on car, including hubcaps; only exception being bumpers that were rechromed. I purchased the car in 1993 from original owner that was friend of the family and AACA member. I can put stock exhaust system back on car if desired. Only selling because I have too many vehicles and would like to see this one go to someone that can show it and enjoy it. Steve, Have you and the team considered having the showfield open to registered cars and members on Friday for display only? I was at the BCA show at the NB center in 2016 with our car and Friday was the most enjoyable day of the whole event. Just about everyone that registered a car for the show was there with their car and everyone had a chance to walk around and see all the cars since they did not have to focus on prepping their cars until the next day. Having the showfield open on Friday also gives everyone a chance to get registered the day before and find their assigned spot, taking all of that effort out of Saturday so the event team can focus on judging and other things. I was at the 2019 AGNM in Auburn, and my biggest disappointment was not getting to adequately walk around see all of the cars. With close to 400 cars at the meet, there was no way to see all of the cars at the show as well as get mine preped for judging and stay with the car til it was judged. If the show field had been open on Friday, everyone could have walked around to see all of the cars and socialized more around their cars. Then Sat. everyone could focus on their car and judging.

John, Does your statement mean that cars are allowed on the show field Friday evening from 6pm to 8:30pm and must leave after that until Sat. morning, or is 6-8:30 the time frame that cars can be driven on the show field and left for the night? I read what you wrote several times and was not clear on what it meant.

1974 Ford F350 Super Camper Special. Truck has PS, PB, AC, Am/Fm stereo radio, dual fuel tanks and Ranger trim package. Has original 460 4bbl engine, C6 transmission, and 3.73 Dana 70 rear axle. Truck runs and drives excellent, just needs cosmetic work. Everything works except for AC (compressor runs fine--just not charged). Has older 16.5" tires on it now, but I have a set of Ford 16" truck rims with no tires on them that I will give to the buyer. Has new exhaust system, new windshield and seal just installed, new belts, pulley bearings, new radiator, new front calipers & pads, new rear wheel cylinders, shoes, all 3 brake hoses, and master cylinder. 1936 Ford 4 door slant back project. Current owner bought in 1955. Body has never been repainted, car has never been wrecked. Car was disassembled in the 1970's to restore and some chasis restoration was done. Been stored out of the weather ever since. Has complete, correct, and runnable 36 engine and transmission with it (not original to the car). Engine and transmission were running perfectly 10 years ago when removed from another running/driving 36. Includes bolts, seals, and other parts bought for the restoration. Has original mechanical brake system as well as some of the parts needed to convert to 39 model hydraulic brakes. Only rust in the body is small amount in the floor. Does anyone know the details on the cruise-in on Friday night? I signed up, but don't know what time it is or exactly where it will be located. I plan to be in town around 4:00 with my '64 Skylark.

Been doing some garage cleaning while it rained outside to day. These are new, still in the box rear floor mats for a '64-'72 Special/Skylark/GS. The box says "Medium Neutral" as the color, but the simple description is dark brown. I bought them years ago to put in a car I had, but never got around to putting them in because I came across a nice used set that I put in there instead since it was a driver car. I have since sold the car, so I have no need for these. Selling them for what I paid for them--$100 plus whatever UPS shipping costs to your address.

Thanks for the info! I see the tri-fold says registration until 10:30. It is going to be more like 10 minutes till 11 when I show up--will I still be able to get in at that point? A friend that is coming with me has to work at the hospital the night before, so we are leaving as soon as we can to get there from Winston-Salem.

I registered my car and am heading the the meet on Sat. morning, but I never received anything in the mail. I looked to make sure and the check I sent in with my registration back in June went through. Does anyone have a copy of the tri-fold they could scan and put on this thread? I went to VT and know the area well, but it would be nice to know where I am going on the campus so I am not riding around pulling a car trailer trying to find where it is. I have heard that the show is in one of the parking lots near Lane stadium, but where do I go with my truck/trailer to unload?

I have a 1970 LTD that color I would like to sell. Haven't advertised it yet. It is a 2dr. HT and has the 429 4bbl. engine, factory air, AM/FM stereo, factory cruise, 3.25 posi rear and white vinyl top. Interior is same aqua color as the exterior (seats redone all original with NOS material from SMS). Is it column shift or floor shift? Do you have the wiring harness adaptor with it that goes from the trapezoidal plug on the signal light switch to the curved plug on the dash harness?

The 300 heads will bolt on the 215, but they don't have the extra head bolt bosses down below the exhaust ports, so you won't be able to put those bolts in. They will work and improve performance, but the head clamping load will not be what the factory inteneded for that aluminum block.

It appears that someone put the air cleaner housing off of a Chevy 409 dual quad engine on it, then used the correct Buick lid on it. The 409 2x4 air cleaner housing is just like the Buick, except it is assembled with the snorkles in the symmetrical orientation you see in the picture. Use the same air filter too. The lid on a 409 air cleaner is smooth instead of stepped like the Buick, but you can use the lids interchangeably. The reason the snorkles on the correct Buick air cleaner point off in crazy directions is because the drivers side snorkle on the 409 air cleaner blocks the oil fill, and the one on the passenger side interferes with the AC compressor. This car doesn't have AC, so they got away with it.
