  1. I am reluctantly forced to agree with the National Meet Committee. Cancelling the twin meets is the safest thing to do.

I am considered a vulnerable person and I haven’t gotten a vaccine shot yet. I’ll probably have my shot(s) in April. I can feel the world is pulling out of the pandemic, slowly. You can’t fool around with this. I expect 2021 will begin to go back to normal in the fall.

Ok, my reasonable side has left the room. NUTS! I hate Covid and the lockdown and masks! I want to take my Buick out and go to shows and have some fun! I lost my job because of the Covid-19 work cutback. We’re not hurting for money but I have had it! Blee$&@*#ep!

This is what a pandemic is. We can’t just snap our fingers and wish it away, damn it!

  2. Richard, I have an AM/FM 8 track Delco stereo that should work for you. I received this stereo when I bought my Centurion in 2010. I know the dial face measures 2 1/2 inches high. I have no idea of condition, I'm selling as-is for $100 plus shipping. It has the inner silver knob rings but not the black knobs.

Please let me know if you're interested. I also have 2 AM/FM stereo radios with no 8 track that should work for you. $ 100 each plus shipping, your choice.

    Thanks, Dave

  3. I took my driver's test in our family's legendary 1965 Buick Sportwagon. We called it the Green Beast by that point. It was dark green with the custom trim, a 3 seater with the light green interior. Dad had seat belts put in the second seat. I don't remember about the back-back seat. He also had an aftermarket emergency blinkers installed.

That was a great car. We spent a lot of family and vacation time in the Green Beast. We drove that poor thing into the ground. I think every single panel but the roof had dents or dings in it over its' 13+ years with us. Even though Grandpa drove big Buicks for decades, the Green Beast started my love affair with Buicks.

  4. I think we should welcome Opel owners to the Buick fold, if they are willing to join. I saw a Corvette club act fairly cold to an Opel GT owner at a show last year. Opels were sold at Buick dealers for many years. I took my drivers ed behind-the-wheel training in a '75 Opel. If we allowed Opels, we would have to figure out what to do with the Opels by Isuzu, which is another issue.

I wouldn't kick an Opel Manta out of my garage. It's pretty low on my wish list, but I like 'em.
