  1. I believe i have 2 instrument panels in good condition. I am in Hartford Ct now and will return home on Thursday. The interior lens on the sides of the radio are hard to find and I do not have any extras.I was able to buy light bulb sockets from NAPA but there are several sizes, the ones for Buicks are hard to find. I went to every NAPA location with 20 miles of my house and bought up all of them. Unfortunately I don't have eny extras of these either. I will check on the instrument cluseter when I get home. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  2. Because of health problems; it looks like I may have to sell my 61 Buick Electra 225 Convertible (model 4867). It has window washers, daylight mirror, delux spinner wheel covers, clock, rear speaker, power seat, windows, antenna, brakes and steering. The car is all there and very solid, rust free trunk and under carriage. In fact I don't know of any rust anywhere. Great driver. Motor was supposedly rebuilt about 4 years ago. Transmission doesn't have any problems to my knowledge. I do have an extra 401 and trans to go with the car if wanted. It does need paint. The last time it was painted, the paint was applied too thick and has cracked and peeled in spots. I'm not happy having to sell it but reality is forcing me to do this. I am asking $12,500 and pretty firm on that. You can see pictures on www.59buick.com E-mail me at widomski@59buick.com with questions.

  4. Great job. I read it the same day it arrives. The Pics and articles are really well done. Although I love the 59, 61 & 62 Buicks; I have really appreciated the last few issues. Keep up the good, no great work!!!!
  5. I have one here in sw chicago (intersection of I80 & I57). Price is free for the pickup. I am not sure of the condition.
  6. I have a 61 LeSabre wagon with a manual tailgate window. The crank is broken (not me). Anybody have one?? I have been told 61 thru 64 works.
  7. I believe I have a couple of these at the garage. E-mail me at widomski1@comcast.net Bob

  9. Ask Tom Kasper, he has been doing slim jims forever. He rebuilt the one on my 61 98 bubble top 847-888-4200 or 847-622-9225 A-1 Automatic Transmissions (he used to own it now his son does) 670 N LaFox South Elgin, Il 60177
  10. I found some one time at a harley davidson custom bike shop. they were no the snap ons but actual nuts. Good luck
  11. I am not sure if it the same as my 61 Buicks but to remove the master and booster I have to completely remove the nuts holding the booster, pull the booster unit free from the firewall, move the whole unit toward the left fender and then I can slide the rod off the brake pedal. My Olds' were the same. I hope this helps. Bob
  12. I was at a cruise in tonight and there was a guy there with 56 Buick, he is new to the hobby and bought this car in Sept. Nice car. However he has a problem with his hood latch. As he drives all of a sudden his hood pops up. Sometimes it is a couple of block sometime 3 miles. Now I don't know anything about 56's. When he latches the hood, it seems solid and there is about 1/2 inch of up/down play in the hood. I looked at it and there wasn't anything obvious wrong but not knowing these cars doesn't help. However, the latch mounted on the grill assembly seems to be rounded a little. What should we look for?? Does anyone have a picture of a new/good latch that we could compare to? This gentleman does not have web access so I am trying to help him. Thanks bob widomski1@comcast.net
  13. I added pictures i took today. I have owned the car since 12/02, outside of routing maintainance, complete brake job (4/04), I have not had to do anything to the car. I would get in it and drive it to California without worrying. I just don't have time for this one and my other 10 cars. If it isn't sold by Friday I will be putting it on EBay but I would rather see it go to a Buick lover. That is why I have listed it here first. I probably wont get as much as EBay but I know the car will be loved and cared for.
  14. I added some more pictures to my web site taken today
