  1. I have the fuel gage out of this car while the gas tank is taking on repairs. The gage face has markings for 0-Full but they are very faint. Is there some sort of gage face repair kit that would restore the face of this gage? I want to put a wishbone radiator cap on this car. The radiator neck is two inch with 16 threads per inch. The only source I have found up to this point is Bob's Automobilia. His caps are two inch with 18 threads per inch. Where can I find a wishbone cap that will fit this car? Vic
  2. Aha! Maybe my water pump is correct, and the crank pulley is wrong. The crank pulley looks like my 740 pulley with two narrow grooves, except the 740 has a harmonic balancer and the 533 does not. Can anyone out there supply a crank pulley with the single groove for a wide belt?
  3. Have a 28 model 533 that has the correct two belt crank pulley but has a single belt water pump pulley. Can anyone supply a two belt pulley for the water pump?

  16. The Central Texas Region meets at 7 PM on the second Tues of each month. We tried meetings on weekends for a couple of years and found that it took away a weekend when we could have a mini-tour in our local area so we moved the meeting back to a weekday evening to free up our weekends for touring. We meet in the training room of a local business that is owned by a very gracious couple who like old cars. You have probably figured out that rent free meeting space is getting very hard to find. So we go out of our way to ensure that we are not a housekeeping burdon for our landlord. Our meetings last till 9 or 9:30 and a monthly roster of volunteers bring in refreshments. Our region has about 100 family memberships and a normal meeting will draw around 50 people. Meetings consist of a report on the past month's activities and creation of some hype for the upcoming activities. There is a monthly program/presentation that is either presented or arranged by a member of the region. There is socializing before and after the meeting. Hope this helps.

  24. I have a one barrel updraft carburetor by Stromberg that I need to identify the application for. It is cast in bronze. Throat diameter is a little over 1 3/8 inch. On the throttle body are the letters LS-2 with the numbers 273 88 22 stamped just underneath. On the round bowl cover plate are the words Studebaker Model with Stromberg Motor Works underneath that. Around the bottom of this lid are the following Patent dates: May '13, Jan '16, Nov '18, also Models O & LS Oct '21, Models L-LB-M-MB-O-OC & LS Jan '22. I'd like to know what cars or trucks this carburetor fits. Can any of your readers help? vdonnell@ccsi.com [color:"blue"]
