6. Thanks but already removed the battery, and cleaned all ground cables.
7. Yes the fuel pump was replaced before I purchased the vehicle. Was replaced with a GM pump. You stated replace the ECM I took the ECM to autozone, and they had the equipment to test the ECM, and they stated it had no problems? Is there still a chance the ECM could be defective? Also noticed the RPM in park go from 700rpm to 800rpm just at idle.
8. On 8/06/03 replaced coil pack, and car ran great no jerking in overdrive. Today 08/12/03 problem has started again but worse. Took coil & Module off had it tested both tested good. Parts I have replaced in March of 2003 Oxygen sensor, plugwires, fuel filter, aircleaner, plugs, transmission fluid, and filter. Checked codes by entering climate control panel and the only codes I found were C553 which indicates anytime power to the CRTC has been interrupted, and the other one that puzzles me is ECM ? thats all it indicates. Any suggestions would be appreciated because I'm at a loss>

12. Padgett thanks for your information. You hit the nail on the head regarding what it feels like. Today checked the RPM's while the shutter started, and the RPM's did not increase. Spoke to my transmission tech, and he also stated it prob the coil pack also. Thanks everyone for the information. Change the coil-pack this week-end. If anyone has a good GM # for the coil pack hit me back with the number. This for a 1989 Reatta. Thanks KYReatta
13. transmission fluid changed in March of 2003 by shop known for over 12 years.
14. It actually shift in, and out of lockup without any increase of rpm.
15. Just started reading 89 service manual states poss it could be the modulator causing rough shifting when in overdrive? Any suggestions.
16. Tranny problem started tonight. On E-way can off ramp that had little upgrade at about 50mph transmission started shifting back and forth. this was in overdrive. Went to D position and kicked passing gear in and every thing was ok. Just when in overdrive approching hill or incline start giving more gas transmission starts jerking. Any food for thought on this problem? Please don't tell me time for a rebuild. Thanks kyreatta

25. Stupid question? 89 Reatta does anyone know where the condensation line is located or does it have one? Most G.M. vehicles condensation dripp ing on pass. side just behind the front tire. Had my vehicle serviced no leaks found had to add 3oz, air is cold but no water dripping from anywhere.
