1. Well, I guess there are at least a few of you (Barney and Padgett, to name a couple)who will be in Buffalo that are proud owners of Reattas AND Corvairs Concurrent Conventions -- How Convenient Sure wish I could be there too Now that is what is known as [color:"pink"] , being able to wallow in automotive splendor. Whoooeee!! [color:"red"] By the way, how many Reatta owners are also Corvair owners?
2. I must admit I am humbled by the lack of response to my posting for the 90 Reatta Convertible. I have had it listed since April 30, and other than 1 early response from a "still interested" party, zippo! I guess I will put the car on ebay, as I know there is a great amount of traffic on that venue. I wish someone who is a Reatta enthusiast would speak up. Maybe $6995.00 is too much $ for a 99K car. I thought I had it priced about right? Provided tons of photos and a full description also... What else do you guys need to spark some interest? This is a VERY NICE car!
3. You are correct in that the Reatta is not a speed machine. However it has great style and is a very comfortable car to drive. Reattas have been my main ride since 1989, and I have had 6 over the years. I still like the 89 Coupes as the best of the bunch. I'm short on space and decided to part with the convertible. By the way, Buena Vista Estates is off of Taft Hwy on Golf Course Road, about 22 miles from Panama & Stine
4. Hey Songman, Perhaps the fact that we are in Bakersfield is a jinx I have only had ONE (1) response so far on my 90 Convertible. Fortunately, he seems to be a serious buyer, the only drawback being he is in the Midwest. Apparently there have been a lot of looki-loos, but I can't tell if they have even bothered to look at the 80 some photos I've posted and not one has emailed me for a detailed description. Go figure! Maybe we should go down to the Crystal Palace and forget the rest of the world whilst sitting in front of Buck Owens Caddy Convertible behind the bar I've never had a problem in selling any Reatta in the past (3 coupes). Maybe posting on this forum is an exercise in futility.
5. Heck yes! If someone will buy my 90 convertible, I'll throw in a set for free!!
6. Located near Bakersfield, CA, Mileage is 99,026, I'm 2nd owner Logon to www.90reatta.blogspot.com for lots of photos. Asking $6995.00
7. Say, how about trading one of your houses in Wisconsin for my '90 white convertible??
8. I see a few of you have read my post but so far, no inquiries to my email address(s). I'm not very computer literate, so that is why I don't have any photos attached. However, thru much trial and tribulation, I was able to do a Blog and you guys can log on to that site to view approx 86 photos. You may even click on them individually to enlarge for very detailed inspection. The site is: www.90reatta.blogspot.com I do have a detailed description available also, but you will still have to email me to get that, unless I figure out how to put it on this site in the meantime... Any help in that area would be welcomed!! Hope this helps.
9. Well, I finally got around to doing the digital camera thing on my '90 Convertible... Here is one photo of the car. Click on the photo for an enlargement. For more please visit www.90reatta.blogspot.com So, if you have an interest in such a vehicle, please email me at any of the following: toleary@bak.rr.com oleary@aseaninst.com tom@cencalinst.com I will respond with a detailed report of vehicle condition (warts & all) PLENTY of photos! Asking Price is $6995.00 Current mileage is 99,026 I am 2nd owner and have had the vehicle for 10 years I am near Bakersfield, CA It is not a concourse vehicle at this time. Has always been garaged and will need a bit of TLC. I think my email posting will answer most questions. Also have a fair amount of Reatta parts, memorabilia, etc. At this time, however, I would like to concentrate on the convertible.
10. Well, I guess it is finally time to put my '90 convertible up for sale... I'll try to post a condition report on it in the next few days. I'm located in Bakersfield, CA. Just a matter of too many vehicles and not enough storage space anymore. I'm the second owner and have had the car since May of 1996. As indicated, details to follow within a few days... Also will post photos to any interested e-mail inquiries (and/or to my next posting with details) Bear with me
11. While we are on the subject of interiors, anyone out there have a driver's side door interior complete for a '90 convertible (Burgundy) Perhaps there are some NOS still available? Also will be needing a new top in the not too distant future. What are some of the best sources and perhaps some to avoid. I will want the glass window and probably would want a professional installation. Locale is Southern California
12. I have had my red '89 coupe for 16,000 miles now and have averaged 19.0 MPG with about a 50/50 mixture of city (Around 25 MPH)and Highway (55 to 80 MPH)driving. Incidentally, I drive my other Reattas so little that I have never kept track of mileage results. Will have to attend to that. How does this stack up against some of you other folks out there?? I am satisfied with my results. I use 89 octane regular unleaded out here in Buck Owens home town. We have extremely hot summers (usually 30+ days over 100 deg F), and mild winters (Rarely under 32 deg F)Mostly flatland, except for trips to Los Angeles when it is over the Tehachapi Mtns (4000 ft road elevation)
13. Many dittos! Jim is very helpful and most importantly, TRUSTWORTHY!
14. I've sent you two e-mails w/no response. I have a door in white. e-mail me toleary@bak.rr.com
15. You're right, it is worth a try. I'll advise if I have any success.
