1. Does anyone have a 25" Kelsey rim that they can part with (for a 33X4 tire)? I need one for my 1919 Roadster. It's the type with the trapazoidal boss that engages the lug bolt. Mine has a large crack in it and is dangerous to drive on and is not at all round.
2. Does anyone know the type of mica that is used as lubrication between the inner tube and the tire and where to get the stuff? Some say that talcum can be used, but I would think that this might be troublesome once it gets wet. Any comments?
3. Thanks guys. My '19 DB only has a single tail light in the rear. I'm looking for a kit to install both left and right signals, not only the bulbs.
4. Rumor has it that there exists high intensity LEDs which can be used for directional signals. Does anyone have any information regarding the practicality or availability of this. I'm considering installing a set (front and rear) on my '19 Roadster. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
5. Does anyone have an extra 25" split rim for a circa 1919 DB? The tire size is 33X4.
6. I've located 4 prmer cups with special thanks to Jan Arnett.
7. The ones on the head were brass, but I'm not fussy at this time. If the steel one fit, I can use them. What do you have and how many? Also what price?
8. I've machined a couple of spare crank hole covers from castings/copy of the original cover. The "6268" part number can readily be seen on the back side. The threads are a few thousands of an inch over the original so as to accomodate the little wear over the years. I'd like to get $40.00 for one - very cheap when considering the cost of the casting and the machining labor involved.
9. When I sent my engine to be rebuilt, the machine shop returned it without the brass primer cups in the head. They claim they weren't there when they received the engine _ too bad for me! I now need 4 of them. Any one have extras for a 1919 4 cylinder ?
10. Is there a torsion bar to aid in lifting the trunk on a 1919 DB roadster? If there is, where can I possibly get one or what are the specs if I try to make one?
11. I obtained a can of the Eastwood rim paint ($11.00 including shipping for a 12-oz can). They said it was enough to do 4 rims. I did one rim and used more than 3/4 of a can. Maybe you're only suppose to paint only the outside edge of the rim - the part that shows. The paint is acrilic laquer, therefore needs a laquer primer about the same color because it's very thin and hard to cover without runs. End result - nice color and looks good. Would recommend it.
12. Can you please supply more information on Eastwood - particularly the description and type of paint for the rims? Does it come in cans or must it be applied by a paint gun? I looked at their web site and couldn't find the reference to rim paint.
13. Larry, If you still have that 25" rim, I would be interested in it as I am restoring a 1919 DB Roadster and need a rim and a tire for the spare wheel carrier. Thanks Ken.
14. It is primarily for the spare carrier, however, I would like to know that I can drive on it in an emergency.
15. Does anyone have a used 33x4 tire that can be used as a spare? I currently have Universals on the car now but I don't think they make them anymore - at least I can't find a listing for them on the web.
