  1. My 1956 Mercury with the 312 engine does not have the original distributor. The cap is much larger. The standard cap does not fit. The number on this distributor marked Ford is 0311-12127. I haven't been able to locate this distributor number anywhere. Any ideas?
  2. 1953 FORD CRESTLINE VICTORIA NOW FOR SALE. OLDER ON FRAME RESTORATION THAT STILL LOOKS GREAT WITH NO RUST. STANDARD OVERDRIVE TRANSMISSION WITH MERCURY V8 FLATHEAD ENGINE. 3. MAYBE I WILL STILL BE ABLE TO FIND A DECENT 1939-40 OLDS SIX ENGINE CLOSER TO EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS. LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE HAS AN IDEA. THANKS.
  4. I'm still hoping to find a decent engine for a 1939 Oldsmobile six close to eastern Massachusetts. The 1940 engine is the same according to the Olds club. Thanks!
  5. Guys, Sorry so slow for responding to your replies. I am not on line often. I understand the 1939-1940 Oldsmobile 6s are the same. I do need one from those years. Unfortunately, I hope to find an engine close to eastern Massachusetts. This '39 Olds deserves the correct engine. The last owner let the block crack! I can be patient. Maybe a decent one will turn up. I have notified the various Olds clubs. Thank you! John

  9. OK, here are some photos to view. I can't fit more photos on this forum. This is a car just about perfect as it came from the Factory. It is not rusty or been repaired. Yes, it will need seat covers and tires, and maybe re-chrome part of the rear bumper.
  10. Desoto 6 cylinder engine available. 1950's? It is used, but came out of another car, not Desoto. This engine is not stuck, but there are no accessories, just the block. photos attached. $250. Contact 978.546.9309 Rockport MA or email. No texts please.

  13. What we have been doing is arrive on TUESDAY. This is the day the vendors arrive and set up after 9 AM. It's worth checking out.
  14. Yes, it's quite high from Herco. $50 a day and you have to buy all week! At this museum it's $15 a day for each parking/camping space. How about that?
