  1. I know I should have been calling for a place in the host hotel but I did call today and the hotel is full for the Buick Club at the $114.00 rate but they do have rooms at $144.00. Unless there is a second hotel with in walking distance this could be a Big problem for this show Is there some information that I don't know about? Chuck
  2. well said Barney it is tough to make parts for these old cars. there are a lot of cars out there that need items that are not available or the parts that are available are very high in cost. A lot of car will simply go unrepaired and will continue to only decay. There is already a lot less posting on this web site which tells me that a lot of people who used to post here no longer own their cars or have found them too costly for up keep. Kingsley has done a lot for this club and I appreciate his efforts. We have others like the Great Jim Finn that continues to have parts available for owners at good prices. Marck Barker continues to offer parts and has done a good job keeping our cars running also. Little things about our cars can drive me nuts but these are fun cars and the cost of up keep will separate the men from the boys.... I appreciate everybodys efforts

  5. I have also tried all kind of polish and Zaino is hand above the rest. I tried it on old paint that I had been using Meguiars on for a long time and the result with Zaino was far superior. Their blonde towels are first class. I usually just touch up the shine once a year but all of my cars are in a garage and covered and don't need a lot of touch up
  6. I totally agree that is a WOW edition of the BUGLE. Good work Pete and Cindy can it get any better???? Thanks for all of your hard work Chuck

  8. what a really nice day and a great show of Buicks in Wichita. With 42 plus Buicks at Scholfield Buick at one time WOW. The dealership did a wonderful job in getting enough cars moved so we could play. We had cars from Topeka, Edmond Ok. Kansas City and of course Wichita. I don't know who was in charge of the weather but they get a big thanks. Don, Matt, Maria really did a bang up job, with some input from our Chapter Director Tom Sparkman. This was the first show since the late 1990s for the Wheatland Chapter. Terry Wiegand our newly elected BCA board member with his wife Barbara made the trip from Hutchinson Kansas, Plans are in the works for a show again next year which will be bigger and better. Thanks for everybodys hard work. I know that Matt will have some photos shortly but I just hope he didn't get the photo of me drooling over that 54 Skylark, oh well for a lack of something to do, Kathy and I just took off in the dealers new Buick Cascada. That's a really nice ride. A good time and it was great to see the Wheatland chapter active again. The proceeds from this show was to benefit Carpenter Place which is a charity to help girls and women in need. Its always good for our clubs to help a good cause. Thanks for a good time Chuck Kerls
  9. This is a really good journey...Please send this to Pete at the Bugle and have him print it for the guys that don't have computers. Good joy enjoy the article Chuck

  16. well 89RedSlate you were 100% correct. The problem was the PS Switch. It looks like it is a hard place to replace so for right now we have just wired around it. It appears that it controls the RPM when lock to lock. it should not have any issues if the switch is not hooked up. Time will tell. I have never heard of the switch but I appreciate the help
  17. Barney was happy to hear that Nancy is doing better. Was good to see you and the hotel worked out great. Keep us posted and tell Nancy HI from Kathy and I Chuck
  18. How is the power steering switch tied to the AC Where can I find this information Thanks
  19. Drove my 90 Select 60 from Wichita Kansas to Allentown and the trip was great. When we got to Allentown the AC started acting funny. Ok with me but I had been converted to 134A 2 years ago. I just assumed it was a Freon issue. With the help of Jim Finn and Mike Hanning the problem was found (sort of). For some reason that is yet to be discovered the relay was not getting the data necessary to start the clutch. The Freon level is good and when the relay was closed the AC worked great. It is amazing what a stick can do. with out test equipment it worked as a temp fix to get us back to Kansas. Hopefully I can get a more proper fix in the next few weeks. Thanks guys I cant imagine what it would have been like if Kathy was not happy......If she aint happy no one is happy.
  20. Wish I could have made it but the day started off with car troubles and It continued all day and into the night....Tomarrow will be a better day I hope.
  21. from what I have heard we should have around 650 cars and the show field and the complex has only one word for it and it is WOW what a great place. Great people to help when ever it is needed Big Thanks to Mr. B

  23. well not from Texas but we are leaving Kansas tomarrow morning and we wont stop till Indianapolis. Driving the Select 60 just hope the AC runs cool all the way. Everybody please drive safe and don't run over any politicians. Mike they don't want any F-250 In PA next week. They might think you are bringing more S***
