  1. I talked by phone to the owner of the Uptown Pawn shop at 970-622-0219. He told me it is a consignment deal with an asking price of $3800. It is a 1929, has a title, motor rolls over by hand, starter spins but doesn't engage flywheel, missing gas cap and crank. I noticed a lot of wood needs to be replaced above the doors. I hope this helps. Thanks, Rod van Pelt

  5. Very interesting video especially when you think of 2/3 of the buildings were destroyed and 1/3 of those people were killed by 1945 by the end of WWII. Thanks for posting. Rod van Pelt
  6. Cool video, Gurra!! Thanks for sharing. Rod van Pelt
  7. Is this what you mean? I thought these went on when brakes were applied, but could be wrong. Did anyone mention early 40s Buick? Thanks, Rod
  8. Kevin, Love the color of your car! Thanks for the pics. I use Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket For me, it's easy and free, so far. I can email pics from my phone to photobucket, get the "IMG code" of that pic, copy/paste it to a "reply" on this forum and many others, and it's there. Rod
  9. Great story and AWESOME Dodge! Love to see more pics. Thanks for sharing! Rod van Pelt

  12. Beautiful car, Cowpatties. Thanks for the pics. Originally, my DA had a design under the window on the top of the door panels. I don't have any pictures of it but it was a 2 inch, or so, strip that went parallel to the bottom of window. Cowpatties may not have had it as his is a Business and mine is a Deluxe coupe. Anyone remember that design or have pics? Thanks, Rod
  13. Hi, Ruedi and Roger. I would have to see more of Interlaken to remember parts of Interlaken. That will have been 39 yrs. ago next June that we were there. We traveled by train (Eurail Pass) and because we didn't have a lot of money then, we stayed at a very small Hotel Eintracht in Interlaken, which I suppose has really changed or vanished. I wish we would have taken the time to go on up to Grindelwald up towards the Jungfrau Mt. In the pics of the steam show, I saw pics of the Giswil station which I remember. I got the web pages from your Christmas card and spent probably 3 hrs going through many pics of the car rallies. Thought I'd add a few lines to this thread before Kathy and I get into the Mustang and set out on a 5 hour drive to spend Christmas with the son and his wife and 2 sons. By the way, usually the 26th is not Christmas here in the US, unlike most of Europe, but since it fell on a Sunday, it is the legal holiday today. Thank you and have a Great day! Rod van Pelt
  14. It's really great to see the many old cars, European and American, and the great interest in old car rallies that the Swiss people have! You can see that Ruedi devotes much of his time promoting old car rallies and is appreciated by many. Seeing the beautiful scenery pictures brought back many fond memories I have for this magnificent area. Thanks, Rod van Pelt
  15. I meant to mention, these 2 sites Ruedi put together are worth checking out: O-iO - Oldtimer in Obwalden, Switzerland > Home OiO > Home > Home O-ibo - Oldtimer im Berner Oberland, Switzerland > Home > Home > Willkommen Thanks for sharing. Rod
  16. Hi, Ruedi. Ah, ok. One of our favorite places when we went back packing through Switzerland in '73 was maybe near you. Interlaken, Thunn, Thunner See, Brienzer See. We stayed also overnight in a little town called Art Goldau. We would love to get back there again. Thanks, Rod
  17. Lieber Ruedi. Rod
