  7. So, bought this at a local swap meet. Is this for a Marquette car? Looks like it could be a radiator plug, just a guess. Dan dlmarx at bellsouth dot net 803-four two five 8649
  8. Like many on this list, I have the hunter/gatherer mentality. My latest find is some old magnetos. A Bosch DR6, Splitdorf Model B, and a Splitdorf Aero, plus several WICO's. What would these fit? Oh, forgot to mention one International Harvester magneto. Thanks Dan 803-four two five-8649 Rembert, SC dlmarx at bellsouth dot net

  11. Here is a thought on freeing stuck pistons. In the past I have used straight Iodine. May sound strange, but I got the strongest concentration possible and filled the cylinder. Four days later I was able to loosen the piston. I have done this 3 times with success. Don't ask me why it works, I really don't know. Dan

  16. OK, here it is, an unknown part since the box is fragile and the identifying marks on the box are gone. I am guessing this in the late 50's. So, what is it and what years does it fit? Thanks Dan
  17. OK, as a hunter gatherer of old car parts you never know what will be the next "find". Well if found it. I now have several hundred+ older Clevite Silent Bloc bushings, "out of the box", that have been either superseded or discontinued. Does anyone have an older listing for Cevite bushings, for example; Clevite 62636; and 62876-B. I am going to guess these are front spring bushings. Any listings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  18. Don't forget that $100 cut. I have been an avid wood worker and cabinet maker for years. I just hate to pay someone to do stuff that I THINK i can do. The operative word is THINK!!! I have made more than one cut that has cost me a $100 piece of wood with material and time in it. Just a reference, the full wood package for a '49 Ford wagon is $14,600, and I passed on the wagon at a recent auction!!!
  19. here is pix of the pair of lower ball joints.

  21. So, I just picked up 3 pair of 1960 ball joints, TRW 10109, / MOOG K-519. There is a pair in teach box, but by the number these are both "right" side ball joints. So, what is the difference between the right and left lower ball joint? Position of the grease zert? I have three boxes all marked the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dan
