Would like to sell the complete inventory,.

There is a large parts store inventory for sale in Augusta GA . I am posting this for the owner. The inventory includes approx 100,000 grease seals from the early Chicago Rawhide to updated national numbers. The grease seals are all inventoried. The grease seals fit automotive, farm and industrial equipment, some are 12 inches in diameter. These are all early purchases and made in the USA. There is also probably 1000 plus pieces of MOOG TRW suspension, including drag links, ball joints and control arm bushings. Oh, and don't let me forget that there are at least 800 pair of air shocks, all brands, for cars from the 50's -70's.. Several hundred gas caps, and lots of brake parts. There is a minimal amount of early Ford parts. These parts must be moved by October 31. Contact me at dlmarx at bellsouth dot net or eight zero three 4 two 5 8649.
This was previously listed in Hemmings.

Well, I was able to pick up some NOS Studebsker Erskine Pistons. Thanks to members of the forum we have identified them to be 0.004 & 0.010 inch over. They fit the Big Six. Since I don't have a complete set, I was wondering if they could be machined to match.

4 standard pistons and two 0.010 over. Old cast iron 1917 .
thanks for the replies.

I know that semi-Pistons are machined to size. Is it possible to resize a 0.010 over piston to std size for old unobtainable Pistons vs having them custom made?
Thanks
Dan Marx.

F/S Attached are pix of the pistons. I have a complete set (6) of the pistons. 5 are sill in the box. The piston has a 3-7/8 inch diameter and
4-3/4 in. length.
1922-1928 Studebaker (Bushed) Big Six 6 3-7/8 1918-1921 Studebaker Big E.G. INC. 4 & 6 3-7/8 . Not sure which model these fit. These appear to be standard size. I don't see any markings that indicate they are oversize. The measurement was done with a ruler, not a micrometer.
Thanks for the help.

Looks like '57 Chevy, that is the same style of attachment, with the exterior grips

Good day at the Auto Fair, found these NOS Pistons that are labeled Studebsker Erskine. There is a part number on the piston 112708. any help to ID the year would be greatly appreciated. These appear standard size, I don't see any markings to indicate over sized. There is also one babbitted (sp?) rod.
Thanks

There was no torque tube, this had an open drive shaft.

Of course there is more to the story The engine will be a GMC V-12 with an allison transmission. However, it will never be used as a hearse, just a fun creation of mine. As a pretty good wood worker, I think a wood hearse, town car creation would be quite unique.
