  2. This may not be auto related, but I've just got to tell ya' all. I was going to a business meeting and realized I had broken my tie tack. I went into the gift shop at the Medical Center I was visiting ( in Detroit) and asked the young lady behind the counter if they had any tie tacks, after several moments of total bewilderment and obvious confusion, her reply was, " all we have is TY, the beanie babies are over there". Sounds just like the future of some swap meets I have been to lately. Thanks for the indulgence.

  3. I am looking at 4 door '29 Oakland that the owner says the engine is a Northway. The engine is an 8 cylinder, and the car has wood spoke wheels. Is there anything significan't regarding this particular engine? The car is priced reasonable and it runs!!

    Thanks

  4. I have an Original Equipment Service Parts Book, Auto Electric Co., dated 1936 and 1940, that says the 538Z coil can be substituted for the 526B coil. Has anyone did this and what problem would this be for judging. The 526B coils is very difficult to find, whereas the 538Z coils are readily available. smile.gifconfused.gif

    Thanks

  5. I need your assistance with the identifying of the following delco remy coil: Delco Remy 1836538, this is marked on the box. There are no markings embossed on the coil. I believe this is an original equipment, keyed coil. This one has 2 terminals on the top with a 3 screw base that fits just above the space where the ignition switch fits.

    Thanks

  6. I have a new stabilizer bar that fits Series 22/23 cars. This has the links and stabilzer rubbers. By the numbers, Tuscon Packard identified it as fitting The Series 22/23. I will send a pix with measurements to anyone that is interested. The Packard shipping tag was in rough shape, so the number I have may not be real accurate. However, I will send enough pix and measurements to ensure it is the correct application for anyone interested.

    Thanks

  7. Wasn't this thread beat to death about 4 months ago. According to the rules, which I don't have, can a member allow another member to use their space? This is not a compensation question, only an issue of who can occupy the space? Yes a secondary market would help greatly. And most would pay an admin fee to the AACA.
