1. What are the judging guidelines for exterior paint problems? For example, a car with an older laquer paint job that has buff-throughs in 2 or 3 places. Are there points deducted for each problem area? If so, how many? What about "noticeable" touch ups or blends? Is there a certain number of points awarded for correct color for the model year, and correct paint type even if the condition shows some blemishes? Thanks in advance for your replies.
 2. We've got a lovely '28 AR Roadster (AACA Senior) and I've been cataloging all the unique 'AR' features. One thing the books don't say is where the 'AR' designation came from? Did Ford come up with it? Is it a Model Number? Were they so designated from the beginnning, or was this designation added later?
Does 'AR' stand for something ...
... like maybe "Almost Ready"?
Does anyone know any good reference books that specifically address the early Model A's?
Thanks in advance for your help!
 3. Thanks for the reply. We've restored the Vette to NCRS specs, but to be honest, we've been kindof turned off by the NCRS 'tude - we found AACA much more welcoming. We've already had one of our local car guys who judges several events in our area come over to look over the car. You're right, it does help to have a "different set of eyes" look at things.
BTW: Does anyone know of any efforts underway to bring a judged Meet back to Ohio? I understand there used to be one years ago.
 4. Although I have a number of cars (Model T, A, Camaro, Vettes, Caddy), I'm a newbie to AACA. I live in the Cleveland, OH area. I'd like to enter my '60 Vette and possibly my '27 T for judging. Looks like the closest location I can get my vehicle judged is at Hershey. (We have a ton of collector car owners in the area, I wonder why no regional judging in OH or MI?)
Problem is, when we were at Hershey last year, I thought we were told that you have to have the vehicle judged somewhere else prior to entering at Hershey. Is this true?
What are the steps required to be able to enter my car at the Saturday Hershey show?
Thanks in advance for your assist!
5. I see the dates for Lexington meet in July. Where can I get more info? I'd like to bring a car for judging. I'm told that if I get a Junior at this meet, I can register for Hershey and go for Senior (i.e. I can't enter a car that's never been thru AACA judging at Hershey).
This will be my first AACA meet so I need everything - itinerary, location, hotels, fees, pre-requisites, etc.
Thanks in advance for your help!
