  1. We would love to see some pictures. There are 3 or 4 Royales total of all body styles for publicly sale each year so definitely rare.
  2. I assume the one discussed on this forum? Do a search and you will find the old threads. I believe the car was in the North West. As for parts, you need to join the REO club and post a wanted ad in their newsletter. A neat car but rare so you will need to search for missing pieces. Good luck.
  3. I think the darker color, no side mounts and lack of wheel covers is more attractive. The silver is too much.
  4. Nice work. Blasphemy I know, but I almost like it as much without the spats and in two colors.
  5. The sno cruiser is cool. Too bad it was a bad design. Here is a video of it in action on pavement:
  6. I was surprised the Boss 302 got that level of attention. Certainly not holy grail material but relativity rare and certainly collectible.
  7. I take it from the license plate the car is in Europe?
  8. What is funny is the V16 represented a fraction of total production but a very large amount of the surviving cars. Did you by the 32 Convertible Coupe? I really like that car and thought it was reasonably priced as a full Classic Conv coupe. I have a friend who's grandfather was Thomas J Litle Marmon's Chief engineer in the late 1920s. If anyone ever stumbles on any info about him it would be appreciated.
  9. This was a friend's grandfather's car. He still has the plates. I assume it should be pretty easy for this crew.
  10. The wheels are in the original style but too wide.
  11. As with most replicas the wheels mess it up. The 20 Grand replica that was for sale a couple of years ago was one of the best I've seen.
  12. I should point out the mechanics on the post war Silver Wraith are pretty simple and there is a bunch of GM stuff used by the factory.
  13. There is a flip side. My dad's 59 Silver Wraith has 170k miles on it with just minor maintenance performed by my dad. He's owned the car for 50 years and put 140k of those miles on. Has never failed to start and has only broken down once in 50 years. Water pump blew on 84 in Penn in the middle of no where back in 1971. Dad had to call home and have someone go to our house and grab a water pump, put it on a bus to get it. The guy that owned the local service station was really cool about helping. Picture is my junior prom circa 1981.
  14. What West said. Very cheap to buy and very expensive to maintain.
  15. That Hupp looks like a good car. I view 30 as closer to 29 than 31 but I agree that the bigger engined cars can fine to drive.
  16. Price seems a bit high. Mustangs are everywhere so find one closer that is easier to inspect. Also, that engine is one rung up from a 6 banger.
  17. The accessories are more important than the engines themselves. Take good pictures as it will help you.
  18. No, Brian Joseph in MI has lots of parts but he is actually referring to John Cislak in Springfield MA.

    Auburn

Auburns are cool for a number of reasons especially the 35/36 cars. Could you get a Buick or Chrysler with a blower or outside pipes? How about a 2 speed rear end or a tach? The speedster was not above average in speed, it could fly relatively speaking.
  20. I had vacuum wipers in my 49 Plymouth and they actually worked pretty good. You could adjust the vacuum to change the wiper speed.
