  1. A friend was at the National Packard meet in Ohio this weekend and they toured Gene Tareshawty's Museum. .
  2. Doctors coupe is an earlier term for what became more known as a business coupe. I'm not sure Dodge used the term "doctors coupe".
  3. Mark, we need to find who has the pictures so we can post them of the car.
  4. The factory has been closed for the last year and what is going to happen is in flux as far as I know. Pending everything being sold I do not believe you can get parts at the moment. When I was at Auburn in 2012 it was open for the weekend and I was able to buy lots of stuff for my Hollywood. My dad was there in the late 50s when many auburn/cord/duesenberg parts were mixed in the lots.
  5. And one known survivor:
  6. An advertisement for the 8-31 Coupe. There may be one of these known to exist.

I guess based on who is standing in front of it that must be the one!
  8. There are high end auctions that limit all access to those that have paid. Usually the preview is open but not always. Depends on the location and space. Remember, the auction company only cares about selling the cars. If the people you let in for free are in the way (however you want to define that) of selling the cars then why do it?
  9. I didn't follow the link when I saw "C"lassic and 1960s in the same sentence.
  10. This is the Victoria in Texas.
  11. There is a forum for royale owners withs some guys that are experts. You should join. Did you buy a kit for it? Here is a thread discussing the carbs: http://reoroyale.freeforums.net/thread/18/carb-kit-jon-hargrove?page=1&scrollTo=180
  12. Kirk, I think I was mistaking it for John's.
  13. Here is the Dietrich sometime in the 1960s after the first "restoration" and before the second one in the 1980s.
  14. The chrome lock rings have a better chance of going on without getting destroyed, at least that would be my theory. I saw a Duesenberg done with this treatment that I really liked, however it was converted to all chrome before it hit the show circuit.
  15. Was this the famous "junkyard" car?
  16. I believe this car is owned by a REO club member in Texas. I like the colors but would of course lose the whitewalls.
  17. Great photo Jason! Those tires are really cool. Also, I don't think I have ever seen the chrome spokes with painted rim treatment before.
  18. You need to post a picture. There are many reproductions floating around.
  19. The 8-31 cars seem even more rare than the 8-35. This is a Victoria which was recently bought a forum member. Maybe he can post a few more pictures soon since he just got it home It is a nice shot of how big the engine is.

Remember the one Hyman has a few years ago? That seemed like a better car. It was gone in 1 week. Do you know what he go for it?
  21. My dad has had this for a long time. It was in the original box which disintegrated years ago. I assume bicycle lamp?
