You probably already know this, but you’ll likely have to find good used. I had my 62 driveshaft remade without that joint. There are aftermarket options available if you want to have the shaft completely redone…

1952 Cadillac Series 75

Almost sounds like they screwed something up and are hiding it until they can find a replacement or fix what they fubar'ed. 28 months is not cool. Especially if you have a friend who had theirs in and out in the same year. -

You can get that heater core out in about 20-30 mins.

We call that a "mud hog" ...fast material removal.

The factory has a small 90* bracket that is damn near sandwiched between the block and starter...it's a massive bitch to access...which is why most of them don't get reinstalled. I can't help you on the access, except to keep trying. I did one last year and don't remember what it took. Pretty sure it was a 1/2" open end...or box.

I do paint correction and ceramic/graphene coating fairly regularly. It's pretty amazing stuff. I do it on all my drivers...and one of these days my 58 🤣 -

I lost count of all the springs that never made it back into the door panel assemblies. -
There is a plastic vacuum tank on the firewall…check to make sure it has a vacuum line feeding it, and that the tank will hold vacuum.

They reproduce one that will bolt in place, but it's spherical, and not the exact same shape. https://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/product/1972/1972-buick-skylark-gs-regal-gn-plastic-vacuum-canister/49545 -

I spent $6k on paint/primer/clear for the 56 chevy panel truck I did last year. That thing is HUGE, though. Took two gallons each of color and clear alone. It's not getting any better, either.

A 401 nailhead would be a much easier swap.🙃
