  1. I think it's just the ones that WON'T sell that you see all the time. Whether they're rotten (not literally) or overpriced...for sale forever. It's like the red 72 Stage1 that started out at like $300k two years ago...and now it's $109K. Still sitting.
  2. I think they are completely full already this year. I like the idea of the special invitational for turbo cars, though. I don't recall seeing anything like that there yet.
  3. Looks like a really nice original car... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-Buick-Electra/124614533798?hash=item1d039ae2a6:g:FzAAAOSwMAhgQsrx
  4. There are some cars that never seem to leave my 49-72 Buick eBay listing searches....this seems to regenerate every week, and I really think it's been on there for a couple years. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1950-Buick-Riviera/164744227252?hash=item265b8569b4:g:qHgAAOSw4E5ehE11
  5. Unfortunately, I can't post photos of the car until the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is over in November. It is going to be unveiled at the show as seen for the first time publicly. If I show it anywhere else before then, I will not be allowed to bring the car. The car is almost finished. It only needs a rear bumper, front turn signal lights, and a couple other small loose ends need to be completed. This paint color with a white convertible top and pearl white interior is GORGEOUS. Truly a stunning car. I can't wait to show it in November!
  6. Not sure. I pulled the trigger on having a new driveshaft made.
  7. I used to buy K&N but never really noticed a difference. Paper for me now. It's cheaper, and with the mileage that I put on the cars, they'll last a lifetime.
  8. $500 custom driveshaft will be here next week sometime. I have to get this car on the road tout suite.. Still looking for ELECTRA 225 letters. I can't believe how hard they are to find.
  9. There were a few of us I saw in there tossing bids in. I'm surprised it didn't go higher.
  10. I guess people can't read the emblems on the sides of their cars😄 I've found that sometimes Facebook doesn't list a certain model in their choices when you go to sell. But usually the correction appears in the listing. Also sometimes people are too lazy to even write a description. One of those things I'll never understand...
  11. Is that price for removal and install? If it's just a bench build, (you remove and install yourself) there's no reason you can't find a shop that will do it for 1000-1500 bucks. If it was a 58 Flight Pitch, then I would understand the price😄
  12. It's not impossible. I've done it for years with no real ventilation...but I am putting together an air recirculator that will filter the air in one side and filter again on the way out. They make them commercially, but are really expensive. My goal with the recirculation is to keep the same temperature in the room without having to draw in cold/hot air from outside. Your paint environment and the surface you're painting needs to be warm (no less than 60*).
  13. Depending on how bad the trim is, I can usually work them out. Sometimes it's worth it to find good cores to start with.
  14. Bummer the exterior is crusty...looks like the interior and trunk are well preserved.
  15. I think it was one of their "Spring" deals. This appears to be a really well preserved original car. I tend to agree with Lance on the paint being original, but unless I could see it in person, all we can do is debate it. Well, what's everyone think? $18.5k is my guess...these cars that BaT have been selling lately have gotten really healthy numbers. There is no reason why this one won't. Its well photographed and presented without a bunch of used car salesman tactics.
  16. TTT Even if I could just get the center section cut out so we don't have to ship the whole thing....
  17. LOL yep! We dragged the car into the trailer and pushed it back out with that tire on there, but it wouldn't roll. So I grabbed the spare out of the 62 Electra.
  18. It’s a bummer this paint is all chipped up...it’s a neat color and appears to be done well.
  19. They’re home...that was fun.
  20. Not sure...do you have any driveshafts sitting on the shelf that you can photograph for comparison?
  21. We just pulled them in with the winch and steered the wheels by hand mostly. So no wiggling our way out LOL... getting in and out of the 62 Starfire that we delivered to this guy was a different story. Glad I’m skinny for that one!
