  1. Pics?? Sounds way cool...would love to see it
  2. Bummer that Sloan doesn't have invoices for the 71's. We might have been able to find that black 71 Yeah, the previous owner of the Riv was going for the "stealth" look as he was painting all the trim black....including the stainless pieces around the windows. On a lighter note, it has a stock rebuilt 455 in it....pretty lame though. Needs lots of work. I would kill to see a picture of a 3spd setup in the Centurion. How weird would that look?
  3. The swap in action:::: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29692&highlight=hey+smartin
  4. Good eye Brian! Yes, I have in my hands a ROUGH 73 Riv GS Stage1. I bought it as a donor for my posi rear end. This past Sunday, I swapped the rears and now it's back up for sale locally. There are some big problems with the car that I'm not willing to tackle myself, so that's why I'm letting it go. Pictures....let's see.... Pics can be seen here: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29264&highlight=hey+smartin It looks 1000% better in the pictures than in real life. You should see the roof up close....yikes!
  5. 1971 B bodies had a wheel base of 124". (LeSabre, Centurion) 1971 C bodies had a wheel base of 127". (Electra)
  6. I'm willing to bet there are a few folks on the board here that have an extra one or 2 of these tubes. Also, check the v8buick board. This part was a common between most of the models.
  7. I think what you're referring to are the Aluminum rockers? There is a guy giving aluminum and steel assemblies away on the v8buick board... http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27495
  8. Did this come from St. Louis?? Check these sites out for parts: http://www.oldbuickparts.com/ http://www.buickpartsdirectory.com/salvage.htm
  9. contact: bill@buickstreet.com He just converted his 66 to a dual quad setup. You can see the picture of it on www.buickstreet.com It is the top picture!
  10. I have a buddy with a 62 225 ragtop....and he was able to find the right stuff to replace the old. It was kindof a houndstooth pattern foamy fabric. About 1/8" thick padding. His name is Hank Deglman. I can try to find out who he wnet to for the fabric/cardboard trunk liner. It sounds like Jerry pulled the original stuff out, but it was painted black at some time in the past.

  14. Attached is a closeup of a 71 GS grille....
  15. I had a spring that was in an awkward position on my green car a few years ago and it made the popping noise....it was the rear spring that had come out of its retaining position - due to being a shorter heavy duty spring, when I jacked the car up, it fell out of place. I think the noise was actually the exhaust pipe hitting the spring. Funny, since I just got done talking to you about the shoddy Midas exhaust job...it was around that time when all that happened. Just blame it on Midas! <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  16. Hey Tony, Were you still interested in buying a 72 Electra like your old one? There's one on eBay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...item=2436180750
  17. The 42 Limited Pickup is owned by Gateway chapter member Paul Meyer, and he brings it to all the events he can around here. It never ceases to amaze me about the story of the vehicle. That truck was built for a "high up" GM guy's daughter and bears the emblems of her and his wife on it. I believe ones says "Mimi" on the front fenders...and the other is a initial of his wife's name - I don't recall where it was (maybe the front grill emblem.) I also had a chance to study the 58 Ambulance....all 270 inches of it!!! What a neat car.
  18. duuude....I beat you to it <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/showflat....amp;amp;fpart=1

  20. Who won the GS and the LeSabre?? I have 5 tickets, but how would I know if I won?
  21. Thanks!! I wish so much that I could have the ones that got ruined back. I had some really good ones of the concept cars. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
  22. Do you have a ballpark price you're looking for?
  23. Well, this is the last of my new photos I shot in Flint. I had taken a few rolls to Walgreens and they ruined 2 of them by using a color process on them. The film was B&W. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Low and behold, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Roberta, sorry I was unable to save the film that your car was on. It was more or less blank when they gave it back to me. I also had a bunch of Brad Conley's GSX Prototype......I was not a happy camper. Enjoy - Sorry about the size, I just don't want to compromise qualit
