  1. I just re-read your post - it had vista cruiser windows? I am trying to dig up info on the BPG board: http://www.bpgforums.com/showthread.php?p=42623#post42623
  2. This is the only picture I can find (c/o Mike Atwood) I don't even know if this is the car you were looking for, but there can't be that many of them out there.
  3. There was a 2 door wagon at the 2005 BPG nats cruise night in Boardman, OH. I will see if there is a picture of it. It drew a crowd!
  4. It's a common mistake people (including myself a couple times) have made, so it makes sense to go through it again and be certain you covered your bases, even if it seems excessive.

  6. Plug wires crossed? Firing order mixed up?
  7. Welcome aboard! As you might've read already in the Barrett-Jackson thread, "Centurion" Brian Laurance referred you to my website: www.buickcenturion.com www.buickcenturion.com/forums He also states that you might've already joined...if this is the case, then you already know what's up <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
  8. It lost prime... Does the 89 still have a distributor? If so, then you need to pull it and prime the pump by using a priming tool (www.taperformance.com sells them) with a hi speed drill. You will probably have to pack the pump gears with vaseline as well, before you try priming the pump.
  9. Was that at the hotel bar with the stellar service? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> We just got another 4 inches of snow last night into this morning. Good thing I'm off to San Diego this week!!
  10. The rear window is a Boattail photoshopped into the image.
  11. Here is the discussion on the Centurion forums: http://www.buickcenturion.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102
  12. Here is the response from my email to the seller about the paint: <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> i thought it was but after talking to original owner he told me he did have ot painted 15 years ago because he had some scratches from going in his garage, paint looks as good if not better than new, steve </div></div> Looks like I had the right idea.
  13. We're getting more this weekend here in Misery. I'll box some up and send it South..
  14. I haven't seen the car st all at any national since 2003. I'd like to see him bring it around again, though.
  15. It's back up....and LIGHTNING fast!
  16. I would be less worried about damage to the head, than I would be about cracking or breaking the manifolds. The cast iron is brittle, and the "ears" will break off if too much pressure is put on one bolt/stud location. I found out the hard way last Fall when I was removing an exhaust manifold from a 401. Here is the flange that broke completely off of the manifold, due to the excessive pressure that was put on the single mounting point after I removed the other bolts.
  17. Who wants to bet that IF the car makes it to market, they won't keep the Boattail rear window?
  18. New choke tube is sold by CARS as a kit.
  19. Keith, have you looked into other things like properly working ignition components? A poorly firing ignition system will foul plugs fast. Is the carburetor setup properly? Has it been rebuilt? Are you consuming oil at a fast rate? If so, I would suspect bad rings before any vacuum leaks sucking oil. The only place oil could get to the combustion chambers, is if the head gasket was leaking, or the rings are worn, or as previously stated - the valve seals are bad. Valve seal problems are typically only a problem at startup, where you will see a puff of smoke when the oil burns off inside the combustion chamber. Drivability should not be effected, unless the seals are reallllllly bad.
  20. TA Performance has frame pads, and pretty much everything else you'll need to do the swap. www.taperformance.com

  22. I am referring to the blue and white one. It was parking near Wheatbelt's swap area in the grass with Jim's 10-10 GSX
  23. Would this be the one we saw in Batavia? If so, it's absolutely worth the asking price.
