  2. You can probably find a used set for around $2-300 Try posting on www.v8buick.com for a wanted ad. There are always a couple sets floating around for sale on there. Did you call TA Performance? - www.taperformance.com

Now the good part - I just found out the sellers reserve is, are you ready for this, drum roll please, $29,000 - yes, you can close your jaw now. 11. Here are 2 more Centurions that popped up on ebay this week: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2483218309&category=6144 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2483131276&category=6144 Also, the reserve on the blue Centurion has been lowered. I'm looking into more information on the hardtop I just mentioned also...
  12. The blue Centurion on eBay has a flaw... No POWER TRUNK RELEASE!! You'd think that with all the options on that thing, that they'd splurge and get the trunk release. Man, that thing would look good next to the white one in my new garage.... must.....stop.....thinking......bad.....thoughts
  13. Hi Performance 455 option was not a "Stage1" motor, but had Stage1 heads. I don't believe anything else was different. The carb number was the same as the standard 455. I don't believe there was any jetting differences. The transmission might be calibrated to shift harder too. Mine feels like it has a shift kit in it...almost. It's pretty stiff. The GS Stage1 had a different carb, distributor, cam, fuel pump, heads, and Transmission. Regarding the Stage1 in Rivs in 73, I'm not entirely sure....I believe the Stage1 Riv was no more than a handling package/suspension upgrade in 74. In 73
  14. Wow! If I hadn't just signed a contract on a new house, I'd be interested in this car... Good history there...the option list would be neat to see. There was a really nice 73 Centurion in Plano that got a Senior... I gotta run back to work, but I'll be following this auction!
  15. I did see those cars on eBay last night. I actually got a chance to use a computer in the Hotel at Plano while talking to Mark Reeves about his unbelievable GSX. I've seen another tarheel blue Centurion convertible which was absolutely trashed....it was up in MI a couple months back. Did you notice the trunk lip moulding? I'd like to get my hands on that hood on the four-door... Thanks again on the congrats for the award! I didn't know what I would/wouldn't be getting since I have a few modifications. They took 5 points off for having a "non-painted" intake manifold. bah...that's fine,
  16. I almost forgot - Kristin from the Sloan Museum needs to come to these meets more often! I found myself buying things I normally wouldn't have bought...excellent marketing tactic they have there
  17. I was there and agreed that the number of cars that showed up was a little disappointing. You have to give them credit for taking on a tough position with being the first national meet after FLINT though. Hank Deglman put it well into perspecive at the banquet on Saturday night. He was one of the last people to speak, and he thanked the local chapter for taking on such a tough task. It's very easy to lose money on an even like this. I'll be sure to tell Hank (62 Electra convertible) what you said. He'll appreciate it. He's always been a big help to me. He's also one of the reasons I j
  18. Just got home... The Centurion was awarded a Bronze I'm happy with that! Good times meeting everyone and seeing some familiar faces! I'll post pics when I can. I hate unpacking. All my stuff got soaked in the sotrm on aturday afternoon on the showfield. It's tough to lift waterlogged cardboard boxes!
  19. You'll have more luck using the parts from the 73. They're almost identical in the quarter panels, with the exception of the bumper curve. The 73's rear bumper goes much higher up on the rear end, as opposed to the 72. The 73 floors and trunk pan should be ok to swap too. Too many changes in body style in 74 to make it effectively work.
