  1. Sounds like u have quite a collection there. Manuel in Oz
  2. It is probably a TJR body. I believe they would build whatever the customer wanted. Local body builders made open cars long after other countries had stopped making them. Just as regular production vehicles rather than super one off customs. Manuel in Oz
  3. I thought all 34 [passenger] tail lights were like the cream car, Mark. Some Oz cars had the stalks that extended all the way to the edge of the bumper bar [like mine]. They were lengthened to suit the laws of that state. And then there was the rear switch. Manuel in Oz PS I love those pics. I am interested in all 33s and 34s.
  4. I had a hunch it may be a Fargo when I saw the FE model no. Fargos were a Chry export line of commercials & trucks that were sold in Canada and Oz and lots of other countries. They had a slightly different grill and badges but that was about all. Manuel in Oz
  5. UPDATE: Saabs and Citroens included. I wish I could make the pics bigger. Manuel in Oz
  6. From what I can make out they are all VWs {of various sorts} and one Saab. Manuel in Oz
  7. I thought commercials from this era had I beam solid front axles. Manuel in Oz
  8. Snags and lamb chops will do me :-) Manuel in Oz
  9. Hi TJR, As far as I know the 34s didn't have tail light stalks (as 33s did). Unless its a commercial or truck. Manuel in Oz
  10. Hi Roadster Ute, I am in the ACT and MAY be able to help with some of those numbers. Good to have another Aussie here. Send more pics if u can. Regards, Manuel in Oz
  11. Not so great this time Jajo. I cannot help with Bosch. And only 639U this time = 6 cyl Pontiac 1929-32. Cheers, Manuel in Oz
  12. 647A 1935 Pontiac 6 662M 1933-40 Stude President 8 649G 1937-39 Chev & GMC 1939-40 And the Autolite is 1939-40 Stude Hope this helps Manuel in Oz
  13. Thats OK Jajo. But can u send more pics plse?? Manuel in Oz
  14. This is a later body installed on an early Lincoln chassis. The wheels on the trailer are early 1930s Ford V8 wires. HTH Manuel in Oz
  15. I remember them. They were quite small compared to Nissan's pick ups now. I think they had 1000 or 1200cc engines. Manuel in Oz
  16. Hi Jajo, The 2 in the middle with the wings [2nd pic] are Ford model A or B. And the one on the end is early Ford V8 1932-36. Are they for sale? Cheers, Manuel in Oz
  17. Standard or Jowett/Bradford Manuel in Oz
  18. 622 is early 1930s Dodge, Ply, cars and trucks etc. Possibly GM from the same era also. Not sure about the suffixes. They were very small in size for a 6 cyl dizzy. Cheers, Manuel in Oz
  19. Looks like an Austin A70 or one of the bigger ones. Celica and F100 behind and next to it. Manuel in Oz
  20. 40 Jim, Poncho's car in your story looks like a tourer to me. Manuel in Oz
  21. "While driving back through the city in his black 1919 Dodge roadster, Villa passed by a school and a vendor ran toward Villa's car and shouted Viva Villa! a signal for a group of seven riflemen who then appeared in the middle of the road and fired over 40 shots into the automobile. In the fusillade of shots, Villa was hit by 9 bullets in his head and upper chest, killing him instantly." Sounds like the same sort of thing they did to Bonnie and Clyde!! But they probably did it earlier. Manuel in Oz
  22. Most of the cars that I can make out seem to be Packards. But I love the Stutz and Cord even more. Did they know in the 50s that these cars would be classics? Or did this car yard specialise in old cars that cost a lot when new? Cars like these usually don't last long [even tho they are well built] because they are big and thirsty and the spare parts supply dries up faster than parts for cheap cars [because there are more of them around]. Keep the pics coming. Manuel in Oz
  23. Yes, it says 30 Super 8 Sports Phaeton. And parked all the way in the back corner it looks like another Packard and an early Franklin. Imagine if u could go back to that place now?? What is a Super 8 worth today?? Manuel in Oz
