1. Definitely Thanks, Wheatbelt had the pump and shipped the next day. Looks nasty at first, but since nothing was under the hood resembling a steering pump, it really was beautiful. After the steering is finished, this 'my ole blue' should be ready for the road. Max
 2. I need assistance in location of a 1954 Buick Roadmaster V8-322 power steering pump. I am just missing the reservoir and might could use a rebuilt kit or company. Please help me. Max Elmore Lawrenceville, GA.
 3. Is there an alternative heater available. My heater is bypassed and the controls are in bad shape. I used to own a Volkswagen with a add-on heater that fed from the fuel tank. I worked great but today would probably burn panty hose off a woman's legs. I wondered about mounting in trunk, possible under hood.
 4. I purchased a carb for a local antique parts dealer without the switch. I rewired the switch to a push button under the dash. Not quite stock, but works well. I plan to move the switch from under the dash to a concealed point for security. The dealer stated that the carb actual fit an older boat motor?????
 5. Have not be on web in while I am working on a 1954 Blue Roadmaster in Lawrenceville, GA Runs well, not near the condition of most of the cars on this forum Max Elmore username melmore
 6. I have had constant trouble with the fuel pump on my 1954 Roadmaster. I have blown out lines, had the pump rebuilt, etc. I basically have given up to the suggestion of going to an electric pump. I need help with suggestions as to where to buy, type, is pressure critical, where to mount and do I need to remove old pump and cover opening to cam? Any suggestions please. Max 1954 Roadmaster In progress
 7. Folks, Need suggestions about repairing crack in steering wheel for my 1954 Roadmaster. I have considered some kind of epoxy with a ratchet belt around the wheel to pull the cracks together. Or maybe a filler to close the crack. Any suggestions. Regards, Max 1954 Roadmaster
 8. Willie, Have you ever considered the creation of your own forum? There you could run things your way. I am sure you will find that your way is much better than anyone else's. Let us know the WEB site so we can join it quickly. It is interesting to me, how most outward attacks from people stem from so inside issue not at all related to the current issue. That does make for a interesting existence. Thank God, there are millions of similar boards to vent on. Your comment on the cut and paste can be used to populate a lot of them until you clear the real internal issue. I may be out of line here, (am lots of the time) but, sit back, breath and follow you own slogan - - - GO OUT AND BLEED ON YOUR BUICK, not here, Isn't that what we are about? Max
 9. Willbilly,
Ran into the exact same problem.
Finally called and found out this fuel pump was really not made to rebuild without factory pressed replacement diaphragms. I found these at "Antique Auto Parts Cellar" on the WEB.
The price was the same as the kit I had ordered from Hemmings and had the two diaphragms factory pressed and ready to go. Also the new kit had the correct valves (larger two) for the main pump section.
I tried to save $6.00 and it only cost me $35.00 plus shipping plus two weeks of banging my head against the peen disc deadblow rubber cut of my dremel cut washer shaft removal flush wheel hammer!!!!!!!!!!
Kit number FPA-219 $34.50 plus $7.50 shipping two day delivery
Call first, the guys are great to answer questions.

 10. Don?t mean to whine, but!!!! Maybe I am not into the challenge to do this.
I have been trying to find kits, pumps, arbor presses and such to fix a fuel pump problem on my 1954 Roadmaster. I finally got a pump number from ya?ll and ordered a kit. The kit doesn?t have all the parts and even with that I am not sure how to remove the diaphragm with the press.
Current Pump has a number 775D stamped on inside.
My questions.
If I were to replace the pump with an electric, what should I do about the vacuum portion of the dual action pump?
If I send off the pump for a professional rebuild, where?
If I contact the kit supplier and get the right kit, is it worth it to send to diaphragm to have them done at $5.00 each plus shipping?
Sorry for the seemingly dumb questions, I am just frustrated.
Thanks,

 15. I did order a carburetor rebuild kit online.
I was satisfied with the delivery. Received all the gaskets, seats and needles, springs, pump and detail instructions about float measures. Did not receive any measure tools or floats. I did rebuild the carburetor and it worked, amazing for a newcomer to this.
Max
 16. New Enthusiast.
Where can I find tires and shocks for my 54 RM. I have the (looks like 5") white walls that start at the rim. I am in the Atlanta area.
I also have a real rolling ride with strong vibration from what appears to be out of balance wheels. This is at such low speed (15-30 mph) that I wonder if it is something else.
Max -
 17. Help,
My 1954 Roadmaster Carter 4B carburetor is bad. I have found one that fits per the mouting bolt pattern and intakes to head.
The number on the one I found is 2520SA or 2530SA, not sure, with WGFB and 6-1273 stamped on the side.
Will this work, the fuel intake and accelerator linkage iis compatable.
If this will not work, where do I go for another rebuild unit.
Thanks,
Max
