  1. I'm not sure to the rarity, but I think the Parklane will be a better value for the future. It should be a more desireable car to most people. Ron
  2. I have the opportunity to pick up a 55 Pontiac but there is no engine or trans. I would like to get the correct engine for it and would like to know where the best place to find one is or if anyone has one. Thanks Ron
  3. If I am reading this correctly you are not getting any power under load. How is the integrity of the exhaust? You can check for an exhaust blockage with the vacumm gauge. The vacumm should drop and then fairly quickly rise back to the high end. With a blockage in the exhaust the vacumm will recover to the high end very slowly or not at all. Ron
  4. I am looking for a friend that has a 1937 120. He wants to have it overhauled and I am looking for someone in the Chicagoland area. Any leads appreciated.

  7. Thanks Lew I'll talk to him tomorrow and see what info I can get. Hopefully I can go over there and look at the car and get some pictures. I'll see what kind of attachment he has to the car if any and I agree that he can get more use out of the money then letting the car slowly rust away. Thanks for the info and I will keep you posted. Ron
  8. Not a story but just trying to get some frustration off my mind. I have a good friend that has a 57 sitting in his garage. It's been there for far to many years. Maybe 20 years now. It apparently has some minor engine problems. I've tried to buy the car a few years back but he says that he is saving it for his retirement project. The car is in very good condition body wise and also the interior. Well, he's been retired now for about 2 years and still no action on the car. I am without a project and would love to have this car. I will be seeing him probably this week so maybe some of you shrewd T-Bird guys can give me a few tips as to how to approach the situation. I've thought of offering him a decent price for it the way it sits but unsure what it may be worth. I'll try to get some pictures of it. He's had this car a very long time but has done nothing with it. I figure it's time someone started to appreciate it. Thanks for listening. Ron
