  1. Why don`t you put a picture of the hubcap you need?
  2. Even early 1920 GMC looks close but they are cast switch.
  3. There are 3 different front springs on ser.40. Very importent! If looking for Buick parts just tell the year as well as the very right model on the car. How about measuring the front spring too?
  4. Here is the nozzle that caused the problem on my 1924 4 cyl. A similar problem has happend on my 1925 6 cyl.as well but can`t find any photos.
  5. The same has happend to me a couple of times and the problem are the vacum tanks needles or nozzle.Open upp the top of the vacum tank and see if the needle or nozzle are in right place! The same can happend even if the valve below the tank are open but it`s a lot harder to understand what happends when fuel goes both thru the vacum tube as well as thru the carburetor!
  6. This how my wrench look on my 1924 4 cyl. Buick with ASH Detroit Wheels. Smallest model wrench for A4 hub caps.
  7. Different wheels on 4 or 6 cyl. Meassure the total diameter on hub cap that will tell if it`s a 4 or 6 cyl.
  8. 1914-1918 US made Buicks stamped on an oval plate attached to the chassis under the left headlight. 1919-1922 stamped on an oval plate attached to the left rear side of of the chassis by the gas tank. Probebly the same place on McLauglin!
  9. How about pictures if you want to get it identified?????????

  11. Thanks Pete. I`m pleased I could help you even without a cold beer. Sometimes it`s hard to find parts in Buick part book,I looked at pictures but couldn`t find anything with the wipers so I looked at "body small parts identifikation chart" page 191-A in my 1936 to 1958 body parts book and found the driver on a photo. Good luck with the restauration. Leif in Sweden.
  12. Hi Pete. Take a look at your parts list 10.157 "driver"-"burr"? windshield transmission.
  13. Mark. I have googling about Buick 1922 head lights, and i have found 2 different types ,to me it looks that the most "plane" bezel are used from late 1910s Buick up to early 1920s? Perhaps there are 1 type for 6 cyl.or another type for 4 cyl.???? I don`t have any parts books for 1921-1922.But I can see that 1919 K and 1920 H has 2 different bezels like the ones on the photos too.
  14. Gary. My questin was for split rivers.
  15. Thanks kaiser31. This is what I was searsing for,now have an idea how to made this tool.
  16. There must have been an simple "automatic" hand hold tool to split those rivets. All my 1920s Buick have those split rivets on the radiator and cowl to protect the hood. To use a skrew driver are not an easy way to split the rivets! I think most of the 1910-1920 cars has the same idea to fasten those "band".
  17. Radiator looks close to 1920s Cunningham?
  18. Anyone who has a picture of a tool for these open riverts!
  19. Mark. When looked at your cowl lights I had to take a look at the photos on the 1922 4 cyl."chassie" I had long time ago, can`t remember if there was any hole for cowl light ,but is this the right lights on the cowl? Very nice jobb you have done on the top,but still wondering about the band.
  20. Mark. How about googling 1922 Buicks and earlier I don`t think you find anyone with the band in front of the bow! If the band has been broken long time ago it`s impossible to nail from the back-rear side without removing the top material. This`s my thought?
  21. I`m using safty belts from automobiles between the top bows when restoring ,that belt material are very strong and very thin.
