  1. Here's mine - had a photo on AACA, What is It - nobody got it.
  2. Hi, What are these and year model. I think I have one that came with 1929 Cord parts that came with Packard parts.
  3. I have what I believe is a 1932 phaeton door - taller than a 1930/31. Would like to swap for a 1930/31. May have a front door too - just have to locate it.
  4. By the way, is the sheet metal the same on all Model 55 sports touring cars, 1925 through 1928?
  5. I can't make out the location of the engine number. Photo is obscured. Where on the engine is that number. It should be on the LH front support arm upper face.
  6. VERY unusual for frame and engine numbers to be identical, if that's what you mean? Serial numbers are found on all mechanical components and I have never known any to match but are within the correct range and differ by a couple of hundred numbers. Roadsters and other open cars had a high speed rear end. Closed cars much lower. The ratio is stamped on the diff centre. LHS vertical face.
  7. Smaller brackets to the left of the bumpers are sedan body support brackets - originally a sedan it would seem, as are the right angled ones in the box beside the sedan door latches. Cowl, doors and radiator are earlier series grafted onto a very early 1929 firewall. Wood steering wheel is early 28 or earlier. Front shocks later than 29.
  8. Does anyone have any thoughts as to who I could try?
  9. They were a high quality car indeed.
  10. OK cowl has a swept bead line!
  11. Very LWB car. Interesting that it has a bead line on the doors and hood but the cowl seems blank? Genuine DCP - note the vent in the very wide door pillar to supply air to the feet occupying the rear compartment. An exploded view suggests maybe 6 large vents in the hood as well as a small one in the cowl and door pillar. Does not have the long front fenders common to many DCP's of 1930 and later. Are those woodlite headlights? Someone will know the identity.
  12. There must be one out there somewhere!!
  13. I am in Toowoomba SE Queensland, about 100km from the capital Brisbane. I am high and dry despite three weeks of constant rain. Rainfall of over 400 millimetres (16 in) was recorded across the greater Brisbane area.[4] In the three days to 28 February, greater Brisbane received 676.8 millimetres (26.65 in) of rainfall, the largest three, and seven, day total ever recorded in Brisbane.[5] Mount Glorious is about 20 miles from Brisbane and received in excess of 1,770 millimetres (70 in) of rainfall in the week until 28 February.[6] The rainfall recorded was higher than that of the 1974 Brisbane flood, with 30 locations across the south-east recording in excess of 1000 millimetres.
  14. WTB: 1927 Master Buick Touring rear doors to match this tub. Other open body panels also needed.
  15. I need a pair of 1930 Model 745 Front fenders. I have a rough LHS so even a RHS would help. I do have what I believe is a pair of 903's to swap if necessary.
  16. The 7th series is the model where the standard 8 126" and 133" WB cars began using 7 lug wheels and the 140" and 145" WB Custom and Deluxe 8 cars had 8 lug wheels. Same for the 8th series.
  17. Photos suggest some front end modifications but at $150..........
  18. The chassis is a 1928 5th series 6. Pictures suggest chassis is OK. It has axles and springs, hubcaps but non Packard wheels - possible been a farm trailer? Unsure if 526 or 533.
