  1. Buick Shields on Rhodium plated cufflinks - there are also other assorted automobile makes available. I collect cufflinks and although the price of the cufflinks at Meritline would suggest low quality merchandise you WILL be surprised. I have even seen the same cufflinks from the Meritline suppliers at designer men's stores with appropriate for the store high prices. Scroll thru the pages as there are cufflinks for many applications and many are Rhodium plated as well - seriously.....good looking quality stuff.
  2. Thanks much for the reply..... Nic
  3. For a multitude of reasons I have not been able to touch the Reattas maintenance wise for some time, and my 91 needs wires, plugs, and at least one coil. I have a new set of Delco wires and some # 14 plugs that I bought probably 8 to 10 years when Padget was 1st suggesting or using them. My problem is I do not remember what to gap the plugs at - can someone help please? I know to use some anti sieze on the plug threads and some dielectric grease (sp)on the boots - any other suggestions would also be appreciated... Thanks, Nic
  4. Thanks Gentlemen! Nic
  5. Been trying to contact Mr. Finn - does he have the same email address and/or does anyone know if he is out of town? thanks....
  6. I either sent an email to or called the major brake caliper rebuilder for Advance Auto Parts and explained my problem-situation, and one of their customer relations or sales managers sent me a couple of clips in the mail. Very nice of them - problem is now I can't remember the name of the rebuilder.....only other way I would think would be to obtain some by buying used calipers from a wrecking yard. I have beat my memory up and even called Advance for the name of the caliper rebuilder, and neither I or the folks at Advance can think of the name - it is not their current suppiler ....... Sanko (however it wouln't hurt to call their customer support). Hope this helps.... Nic
  7. Wow ...... Thanks all for your replies......... I have a lot of Work cut out for me. I kind of thought there was a little more to water removal and keeping mold from setting in than just vacuuming, but darn ..... this is complicated and labor intensive. Thanks Maui for the tip on not vacuuming water through the carpet from the jute as I was definitely going to go that route. I was going to purchase smothing like spray disinfectant from the $ Store to spray heavily on both the carpet backing and jute - is this a good idea or not please or should I treat with some other substance? I don't look forward to this Thanks again folks, Nic
  8. Two of my cars developed water leaks that soaked the carpets and jute - one cars floor soaked on the drivers side and one soaked on the passengers side. I suppose I need to remove the seats on the effected sides and dry out. I am sure there is more that I should do especially to check any mold or mildew that might occur (may have already started). Can I get some suggestions on how to go about retarding mold and mildew groath, and drying procedures please? Thanks, Nic

  12. My 90 S/S Convertible has never had a water leak. I had to leave the car in the driveway for a couple of weeks and it went through several rains and a minor snow. Today I moved the car around and opened the trunk for a battery maintainer that I kept there. When I lifted the rear deck lid water fell from >>>> THE INSIDE OF THE DECK LID OR UNDERNEATH OF THE DECK LID<<<<<. The inside of the trunk or the floor of the trunk was not wet at all until I opened the deck lid - there were big water drops hung to the complete interior or underside of the deck lid - of which many water drops fell to the floor of the trunk when I opened it. I looked at the complete seal and there is no damage - can someone please give me an idea of what is wrong please? Thanks, Nic
  13. -33* this morning in Deluth. Jim Finn tell us you are OK please.............
  14. Ronnie, For different reasons....I have always used or viewed the ROJ several times a week. Your Journal is an essential part or asset of the Reatta Experience. The ROJ has grown in importance such that if it were missing it would amount to the same to me as missing one of my legs. It is time for me to contribute a little again.... Nic

  17. Thanks for all of the replies Gentlemen. As suggested I will speak with my SafeCo / general Agent next week when they open after the holiday. If that doesn't afford any desired results I will start calling some of the individual companies that you folks have suggested beginning with JT Taylor suggested by Padgett. Thanks again, Nic
  18. I finally have a house with a garage, and would like to change my auto insurance to one of the companies that offers collector insurance. I just called Hagerty, and since I have a garage that holds two Reatta, and I have a third Reatta (1990 coupe with 130k miles) that I use as a daily driver they would not insure me???? Can anyone suggest a company that would be able to handle my situation please? I have two low mileage roadsters I would like to insure under the collector guidelines, and 1 1990 coupe under a driver policy. My Select Sixty has 47000 miles I think, and the 91 roadster has about 57000 miles I believe. Thanks for any help, Nic

  23. Thanks for the replies Marck and Jim. When I get it apart I will add to or post the outcome.....from your replies I am sure it will be the motor (which I think I actually have a lifetime NAPA warranty on the motor - if I can find the invoice) Nic
  24. Marck, that is what I thought...However I have never heard this particular noise coming from a motor so a technician looked or listened to it and said it was the regulator and posibly the motor as well. Thanks for the reply Marck... Nic
