3. Having personally removed one I can tell you that it is not held on with adhesive. There are pins on the back of the plate that go into the body panel and if I remember correctly, slip on clips that go on the pins. I had to practically disassemble the whole rear portion of the car to get it off.
 4. Thanks Barney - Now I have something to do over the weekend.
Chris
 5. My sunroof is partially stuck in the closed position. It appears that the problem is in the front of the driver's side, as when the switch is pressed the rear lifts and the panel begins to slide back on the passenger side but not on the driver's side. Firm proding just short of prying with a screwdriver doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions? Chris
 6. Correction - The vaccumn line I reconnected was on the throtttle body. Chris
 7. Problem solved - The vacumn hose had slipped off the IAC. Thanks Guys.
Chris Crowe
 8. Fot the last few mornings when I start the car it races. I mean really takes off, not your normal cold start fast idle. After having run for an few minutes, or when put in gear it calms down. It does not do this during a warm start. Any thoughts as to what the problem might be?
 9. I had U-Haul install a hitch on my '88 coupe when I bought the car in 1996. Told them it was like a Riviera and they had no problem from there on. I removed, and saved, the apron under the rear bumper rather than cut a hole in it for the hitch to pass thru. I use the Reatta infrequently, maybe 10 times a year, to tow a small boat. Yearly towing mileage is 500 miles or less compared to the 10,000 miles per year I put on the car. Total weight of boat and trailer probably does not exceed 600 lb. Have had no problems, mechanical, braking or handling.
Chris
 10. My '88 Red Reatta is my daily driver here in central Mass. Just turned 124,000 mile. Starts with the yurn of the key and does well in the snow with radial snow tires. Rust is not a problem except on the sunroof which I have read was not painted with the rest of the car.
Chris
 11. Barney and Jhellman,
Thanks for the replys.
I have printed the results of the search and now have 25 pages of ideas to work with. Although I have not read it all yet I have two comments;
Jhellman: "Scientific Neglect" did not work for me. Perhaps I did not try long enough.
Barney: I don't think it is evil spirits. Hence I can not turn the title for the car over to you as you suggested to another owner.
Happy Holidays to all.
Chris
 12. Last night I went to use the Reatta and as I approached it I heard a sound comming from the trunk. I soon discovered that the trunk release solenoid was being activated about every 30 seconds. There was noone in the car. It was shut off and parked. This continued while I drove to the convienience store and back. To get it to stop I had to disconnect the wire at the solenoid on the trunk lid. Any suggestions as to the cause and solution? Note: I haven't had need to use the trunk since disconnecting the solenoid. I'm not looking forward to crawling in to release the latch.
Chris
