  1. Cars are a lot more than metal and upholstery. I can't think of the Keller without remembering Ron Barnett, I miss him. I think he had something to do with the early years of this Forum. Bob
  2. Just think of all the jobs and families that were feed by the guys that owned the railroads, they also sold the land cheap that was in the right of way of the tracks.
  3. Maybe it is an ultra rare left hand exhaust conversion on the J, The Haynes Apperson looks nice.
  4. I watched the video, and think the car needs a more experienced restorer, with access to a cabinet shop.
  5. McCormick's invention also allowed the harvest to be collected quickly with less people, that really mattered during the Civil War.
  6. Did he have to walk across the street to discover it?
  7. Am I the only one that has bought back issues of Hemmings at a literature auction? Yes, the ownership of them mattered. In 1957 a complete 1912 T, less the brass lights was listed for $400.00. Bob
  8. AACA President Ron Barnett had one, I think it is still in the family collection. Great find, hope the restoration goes well.
  9. So, the Elmer Bemis K is NOT the K Mark Smith owned??????? Ever since 1961 I've thought this was the Bemis K, and it has a lot of features of the former Mark Smith K. Henry Austin Clark took the photo and on the back of the card states the car was restored by Joseph W. Suydam.
  10. That was the ex Tiny Gould car if it carried a white and maroon paint job.
  11. They failed to mention if the owner drove the car into the garage or backed it in. I've always thought it was classier to back them in so they are read to go. Lost my brakes in the winter on a down hill and used the parking brake and years NASCAR viewing to avoid any problems at the bottom of the hill. Continued home a bit slower then scrapped the car.
  12. Bill Harrah had two K Touring cars Tim Kelly later had one and toured in it a lot. The other K had the early high radiator, is that the same K that Bill Lasiter had maybe 20 years ago?
  13. "Rat Rod" still works, listed a license plate bracket last night and added it to the title, it was sold and paid for this morning.
  14. Thank you for posting the photos, nice collection of cars.
  15. I've been searching for an SS or Jaguar Fordor that looks this nice and haven't found one, maybe they never built one, lots of very nice Tudors, but no fours.
  16. There was a K touring owned by a fellow who's last name was Church, is that the same car Mark Smith owned?
  17. The Tim Kelly K Touring is still in his family, the former Bill Harrah Touring.
  18. Great to see that K out on the road again! I think the total number of running K's is a bit higher. Bob
  19. Great race, happy to see that the guy that won made that move that put him in the lead. Not the race it once was when you could name about all the drivers. Now for 600 miles of NASCAR racing.
  20. Look forward to overall photos of what you found.
  21. If I saw something for sale in the classified section a month ago, and remembered the sellers name, how can I find the listing again? Where would go to search, what keys have to be pushed, and what info needs to be added? Thank you!
  22. Nice parade vehicle, why they pined 1902 on it is anyone's guess. I've seen photos of it or a sister car in auto magazines years ago.
