  1. I purchased door panel material for my 37 Special from Restoration Specialties and Supply. For the rest of the interior try Hampton Coach, they should be able to help you.
  2. I am going to install a 6 volt alternator on my 37 Special in the spring and would like to add a voltmeter. Does anyone know where I can find a 6 volt voltmeter?
  3. The Blackhawk is a great looking auto, but if the Chrysler Atlantic can have a straight eight why can't the Blackhawk?
  4. Question. If you have an eight volt battery and a six volt generator and regulator how do you keep the battery at eight volts?
  5. I don't know what the person who uses the term defroster plugs was referring to, but on my 37 Special there are oval shaped caps which fill the openings in the dash where a defroster outlet would be. At that time the heater and thusly the defroster which would connect to the heater housing were optional.Strangly the owners handbook portrays the defroster as the rubber bladed fan which mounts on the steering column.
  6. I was recently browsing through an old issue of Car Collector that had an article on the Chrysler Atlantic concept car. The engine appears to be a straight eight, but the article says nothing about it. Does anyone know anything about it?
  7. The voltage regulator on my 37 Special seems to have decided to retire. New regulators for this model are hard to find and somewhat expensive. Would I be better off to replace the generator with a 6 volt alternator which has a built in regulator? The car is driven often and an improvement in battery charging would also be nice. If anyone has gone this route or has an opinion on this I would be glad to hear about it.
