Hello All, Here are some question I cut from another forum to see if we can get some feedback here. [color:"blue"] 1903 733 Standard Eight I have developed a problem in that when travelling at 55- 55 mph for 20 - 30 minutes foam starts frothing out of the Radiator Cap. It looks like the the car is having a seizure. Then it subsides again. I have emptied out the coolant as it is worse with different makes of this. It is the least with plain water. I think it may be a leaking head gasket because it does no cause any problems at low speed. The temperature is running in the white or cool area or just above all the time. I have measured the compression on all Cylinders and they are 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 all between 66 to 70 psi. 2 is 55 psi and 8 is 58 psi. Any suggestions before I pull the head off. My response from that forum Hi Jeff, I have a 1931 833. I have experience the same thing also at 55-60. I had the head off last summer to do a valve job and found that the head was pretty rusty where in the chambers you can take a screw drive and the rust would flake right off. Reassembled but I still have the boiling/frothing at 55-60. My temp gauge does not work so I can not tell you where the temp is at. The Radiator cap I have on the car for storage does not fit right and if I don't put on the Goddess Radiator Cap it will boil/froth but if I put the Goddess Radiator Cap on it does not seem to boil/froth all over the place. The water/antifreeze may just be coming out of the overflow tube where I can not see it when driving. Question: Could we have the radiator filled to high which does not allow the water to expand? Do we have a bad head gasket? Blockage of water passages? Timing? Thanks for any help or suggestions, Tom
