  1. My 33 coupe has a rear mounted spare. The rear bumper is spaced quite a way off the body, and the ends are curved in toward the fenders. Do the cars with sidemounts have a different rear bumper and brackets? Where does one find headlight parts (lens, reflector, outer ring) or a whole left headlight? Thanks, John Walker Seattle, Wa, 206 789 6800 jwworkshop ataoldotcom
  2. For a '33 chrysler royal 8 coupe, I need chrome headlight retaining rings and a reflector, or a good complete headlight, nice royal 8 hubcaps. Any good chrome windshield frames around? Good chrome hood hold-down hooks and vent flap trims. Rear bumper and brackets from a sidemount car. Thanks, John Walker, seattle, wa. 206 789 6800 jwworkshop ataoldotcom
  3. The original owner bought the car in Ohio and drove to Seattle where it's been all it's life. Still have the original hand written bill of sale. His son had no interest in it, so he sold it to a local buick collector who promptly sold it to me, so it's basically a two owner car. I've had it for about 10 years and really haven't put a whole lot of miles on it. Odo says 74612 miles. I had the seats redone in original pattern antiqued red leather and tan broadcloth and a new top installed in tan fabric with a gangster rear window. There is no rust in the car, other than normal light surface rust on the frame. The top and windows work properly. The radio doesn't work as usual. Runs and drives fine. Always starts right up after winter storage. The paint is pretty much original with some scuffs and a small ding or two. I installed a NOS '42 grille, but I still have the nice 48 and hood emblem in storage. I liked the taller teeth in the 42 grille. It was a bolt in, no mods needed. Hagerty value guide lists this car with an average value of $35K, so that's where i'll start, but I'm not too flexible. John 206 789 sixty eight hundred. jwworkshopat aoldottcommm.
  4. I have two 48 woodie only dashes for sale. They're flat against the door panels instead of angled. jwworkshopataoldottcomm
  5. For my 48 super convertible, I'm in need of a straight rear bumper guard lower cross-bar. John, 206 789-6800
  6. Can anyone verify that the front vertical seal is different from the rest of the rear door weather strip?
  7. I have a 1949 super estate wagon. The rear door seals appear to be two different designs. The front of the door has a serpentine pattern metal retainer strip holding what appears to be a V shaped rubber seal. It's sticky and flattened, so hard to tell. The rest of the surrounding seal looks pretty generic. Any one have a new set? Both front and rear would be nice. john walker seattle 206 789 6800 jwworkshopat aoldottcomm
  8. The sweep spear pieces could bring almost half that price on the bay.
  9. I'm looking for a pair of front fender potmetal spears in good shape with no cracks, bends or pitting. I managed to find all the rest. this is the larger C body, like 48/49 cadillac and 49 buick. thanks, john walker 206 seven89 six800 jwworkshop ataoldottcomm seattle, wa
  10. Good wood, seats done in maroon leather, new tires, powdercoated wheels, runs, but hasn't been driven in 10 years. Headliner good, needs to be painted and assembled. Complete as far as i know, other than it needs a windshield. All the trim, glass, etc is off and boxed and bagged. Tennessee title. I think $18K is a good price, considering what it will be worth with a whole lot less effort than starting from scratch. john seattle wa jwworkshop ataoldottcom 20six seven89 six800 no luck posting a picture. email me for pics.
  11. I need a pair of straight fender skirts for a 1940 buick, as pictured. '40 Cadillac has the same shape. john in seattle 206 789 6800 jwworkshopat aoldottcomm
  12. looking for a straight, not rusted trunk lid for a 1940 or 1941 buick super or roadmaster coupe, near seattle wa. also need the rearmost section of the trunk floor including the latch area in the center and most of the lower seal lip area that normally rusts out. any leads are appreciated. john walker seattle wa 206 789 6800 jwworkshop ataoldotcomm
  13. need a pair of chrome interior sunvisor brackets for a 48-49 98 fastback. same as 48-49 cad and 49 buick fastbacks. they have a bit of a zig in them, unlike a 4dr which is basically straight. john seattle wa 206 789 6800 jwworkshop@aol.com
  14. single exhaust 57 371, need the right exhaust manifold and the cross-over pipe under the oil pan. also need an aluminum aftermarket 4bbl intake manifold. john seattle wa 206 789 6800. jwworkshop@aol.com
  15. the sections are narrower than all the other models. not rusted springs would be OK in a pinch. jwworkshop at aol dot com. seattle wa.
  16. my 1949 cadillac has two frame numbers that are the same as the engine number and the title. one by the battery box and one under the body, below the passenger seat area. hoping the buick does too.
  17. and where is it on the frame? i swapped engines and now the title doesn't match the car, unless there's a frame number. the cowl tag is different than the engine number.
  18. 1948 98 sedanette. straight 8 is gutless, so i have a 1954 324 i'm rebuilding to install. being that the 1949 was basically the same, other than the V8, it should fit, other than maybe the mounts need to be modified. the hydramatic on the straight 8 probably won't work on the 54 engine and i do have the 54 hydro, so any suggestions are appreciated. john walker 2067896800 seattle
  19. the inside cast ring came off mine. i'm going through the engine, so hopefully one turns up. john walker seattle 206 seven89 six800 or jwworkshop ataoldottcomm
