The valve stem caps and screws are $14.95 each. I've attached a photo of the VSCs. I still have the sew on patches too. Thanks, Alan

  4. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Booreatta, Alan's post above, the one that has the attachment, shows two hexagonal valve caps and the center figure (round, knurled) must be the license bolt. ??? </div></div> You are right. The center threaded thing is the license plate screw. The top of it looks EXACTLY like the top of the valve cap, so I thought the better picture was the side with the threads and the checked side of the screw to add grip. Just to let you know, I installed mine by using a rag and needle nose pliers. Alan

  6. Don't have a picture of our caps, but here's the shirts we sell with the logo. It is STUNNING. We sold out of the caps and they must be ordered in lots of 12. Thanks, Alan

  8. Ok....pics will be posted tomorrow. The samples are being overnighted to me for review and approval. The manufacturer is totally impressed with them and said that he has accurately reproduced the beauty of the Reatta Hood emblem with its unique 3D sunburst yellow/orange appearance. Check back tomorrow evening for the pics. Alan alan@carmotorsports.com
  9. I've attached for your viewing pleasure, a picture of the Turbo Trans Am valve stem caps we just received. Granted, its not Reatta, but perhaps it will show you the detail and quality of these caps and the logos used. I am awaiting receipt of the final Reatta artwork and upon approval, can have the caps in 10 days. Thanks, Alan
  10. Anyone know Gerald? I need to speak with him. Nothing major. Thanks, Alan
  11. License plate screws come in set of 4 and are the same price as the valve stem caps. 10% discount also applies to those. Alan
  12. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Yea, I'm in. How big are these valve stem caps? </div></div> 7/16" tall and 3/8" diameter. Alan
  13. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Alan, Unless you've purposefully kept it a secret I wasn't aware you had a Reatta. Just as a matter of interest, what do you have tucked away in your garage? Factory rated horsepower for the 4 production years ranges from about 150 to 165 hp for a 3300 lb. automobile. I believe if you compared the hp to weight ratio of these vehicles to most any other Sport Touring Sedan you'd recognize the Reatta comes out rather low on that basis. Yes the Reatta is a comfortable touring/ cruising automobile, where it lacked from the day I bought mine 6 years ago, it's get-up-and-go had got-up-and-left! Headers are a term for a fabricated exhaust manifold, generally equal length runners tuned to maximize power. Ok, what's wrong with maximizing the potential of the particular power plant. Nine chances out of ten the fuel economy will actually improve because unnecessary restrictions/ power robbing back pressure is being eliminated. The fabricated exhaust manifolds found on the '88-'90 Reatta are very poorly executed. The design was fair but the manufacturing was shoddy. The exhaust manifolds on the 3800 Series I engine is an improvement. Where do you suppose GM found those extra horsepower-technological improvements, exhaust flo enhancements being one. All it needed in my considered opinion was something around 200+ hp and that's about where I am now. No it's not 350 hp and won't compete with a Corvette and it was never intended to. And Ricer Burners, well, I resemble that remark! <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> And how about the '88-'89 Blue Carpet? <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> </div></div> Nope. I don't have a Reatta. Wife wants one, I've driven several in consideration of buying her one. In fact, I came REALLY close to buying a sweet maui blue one in Erie, PA, but it go too rich for my wallet given what the Reatta's generally command on the market and their potential as a collectible. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't like the car a great deal. Its actually the only other Buick car I'm interested in owning. My post was to be enlightened. I was just looking to understand why not to criticize the practice. The worst thing I said was that it seemed a little odd to me given my knowledge of the Reatta and what most of the Reatta owners (at least the one's I've seen) do to the cars (which is keep them as pristine original and nice as they can). I never said that I thought modifying them was stupid or that anyone who does it is stupid. I hope you didn't take it that way because it reads much more into my post than was actually there. As for my garage (and driveway), current Buick occupants include 1986 Buick T-Type Dark Metallic Blue, 1967 Buick Skylark Convertible, 1967 Buick GS with 455 motor, 1972 Buick Skylark, and a 1967 Buick Riviera GS. Also, don't take the Rice reference as a manner of comparison. Its just that aside from those cars, I can't recall seeing many other front wheel drive cars modified for power or non-stock appearance. If you want Horsepower, why not investigate a turbo charger or maybe better yet a supercharger? That would seem to be a good bang for the buck modification. I haven't pursued a dye of the blue carpet yet because so far you are the only person expressing interest in that color and the man. won't create a carpet dye lot for one order. In fact, I've had VERY little interest in the Beechwood which I think was used in close to 40% of all the Reattas made. I'm hopeful that this will change soon. Thanks, Alan
  14. I'm confused. Why would anyone want to put headers on a Reatta? Its not a muscle car or even a "performance" car. Yes, the 3.8 is a very good motor, with good torque and power and propels the Reatta along quite nicely, but the installation of headers (long considered a high performance horsepower part) just seemed a bit odd to me. I always thought of the Reatta as being a luxury sport car and not something along the lines of Vettes, Porsches, etc. Also, isn't the modification of front wheel drive cars the bailiwick of the ricer crowd? Just curious..... Alan
  15. I have the opportunity to have logo valve caps and license plate holder screws (logo on top of screw used to hold license plate and screws in by hand) made with the Reatta logo but need to know how many would be interested in a set of them. Logo valve stem caps are not a revolutionary new product, but the only Buick related ones I have seen are the standard trishield caps. Another problem I have with all of the valve stem caps I see is that they are chrome plated ABS Plastic. They seem a bit fragile to me and would be dust if they get run over. Plus, we all know how chrome plated plastic fares when exposed to heat and sun. The caps I sell are Nickel plated brass. That's right, solid metal. You can run over these with your car and not have to worry about buying a whole new set. The quality is absolutely FIRST RATE. I am having them custom made but do not currently have anything Reatta specific. I am looking to see if anyone would be interested in having some Reatta Specific logo valve stem caps made. I don't necessarily need a lot of orders (10 sets would be sufficient), but do want to know if there's any interest in such a product. I think the Reatta hood emblem is what would look best on these caps, but the Reatta script could be done as well. Regular price on these caps and screws is $14.95 for a set of 4. I am offering a 10% discount to all members of this board. Shipping will be $3.85 for priority mail. Thanks for your input as I'm very interested in your feedback. Alan
  16. Forgot to mention that you can fax your Credit Card orders to us at 678-574-4298. I only have 100 of these patches right now and they are going fast, especially if everyone who responded to my first post gets theirs. Thanks, Alan
  17. The smaller Reatta patches have arrived! I've attached a photo of one. They are 2.75 inches in diameter. VERY NICE! These are a SEW ON patch. Pricing is $8 per patch or 2 for $15. Shipping will be $1 for 4 or less; $2 for 4-8; and $3.50 for 10 to 20. Please send your payments to CAR Motorsports PMB 346 2774 N. Cobb Pkwy, Ste 109 Kennesaw, GA 30152 678-431-1408 Thanks, Alan
  18. Here's a complete list of the shirts we have currently. I've attached a picture of a white long sleeve polo shirt (its like a rugby shirt) with a GS logo. Same shirt, just a Reatta emblem is on it instead of a GS logo. None of the polo shirts have pockets. Black Short Sleeve Polo w/Reatta logo (3 in L size, 3 in XL, 3 in XXL) White Short Sleeve Polo w/Reatta Logo (1 in L, 2 in XL, 1 in XXL) Black Long Sleeve Brushed Twill w/Reatta Logo (1 in L, 2 in XL, 1 in XXL) Khaki Long Sleeve Brushed Twill Reatta logo (1 in L, 3 in XL) White Long Sleeve Polo w/Reatta Logo (1 in L, 2 XL, 1 XXL) More are going to be ordered very soon. If you need or want something specific (like pockets on the polos) send us an email at car@carmotorsports.com and we'll get it. Thanks, Alan
  19. Last time, we ran out of these shirts rather quickly due to interest. We've just received a new shipment of our embroidered Reatta shirts. These shirts are from a leading label golf apparel company and of considerable quality and construction. We have long sleeve button down twill shirts (Black and Khaki) for a dressier look (I wear mine to work as we have casual/sport dress code). Perfect for dinner or movies. We also have more relaxed short and long sleeve polo shirts (Black and White). All are embroidered with the classy looking Reatta sunburst hood emblem. Prices are $35 for short and long sleeve polos, and $39 for the twill button downs. Shipping is a flat $5. Paypal payments accepted at paypal@carmotorsports.com Alan
  20. On Friday, I spent 3 hours with the carpet manufacturer. Everything is a GO! Should have final pricing and availability very soon. Carpet is already done. Its just a matter of pricing and cutting of the various console, door panel, storage compartment pieces. stay tuned. Alan
  21. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Alan, Please refresh our memory as to what the est. cost would be for one of these covers. Thanks. Steve </div></div> The cost to BCA Reatta members is $150. This price included the cover, the storage bag, 1 free embroidery on either cover or bag, a cable and lock kit, special Patent pending strapping system (NOT on any other cover made), and the lifetime warranty. I must charge $9.95 for insured shipping. Alan
  22. Jim That was me. I only had interest from about 5 people. Where I am now is I have a sample cover I need to have marked for the placement of the emblem. I have sent an email to Dominick Clemente asking if he could help, but I have not heard back yet. I decided to do the covers anyway even without meeting the 12 minimum, but I need someone to put this cover on their car to see if it fits the way they would like. If not, provide me with notes (like the bottom needs to go down another inch to fully cover the tires). Also, I need a measurement from the front elastic band to the point where the nose emblem is. Interested test subjects should call me at 678-431-1308..... Alan
  23. Just wanted to update everyone on the status of this carpet. First, however, a HUGE thank you to Jim Finn for supplying all the accompanying pieces necessary to produce the complete kit that includes door panel pieces, console pieces, fuse cover pieces, and storage compartment pieces. I would bet that what he charged me barely covered the shipping on the pieces he sent. Also, Jim was EXTREMELY helpful on the phone in explaining all the pieces and which ones were for which years. Please be sure and contact Jim if you need any used Reatta parts as I'm certain you will have a wonderful transactional experience. Now, to the carpet. The Beechwood color has been matched DEAD SPOT ON! It is a perfect match to the factory pieces I have. The ONLY caveat is that the fibers of the replacement carpet are slightly longer/deeper than the original Reatta carpet. Its not so much visually noticeable as it is when you touch it. The replacement carpet actually feels slightly more plush and soft. I would say the replacement carpet will be about 98% or 99% correct to the original with the fiber length being the only reason it doesn't score a perfect 100. The rubber backing has been taken care of also to ensure OEM compliance. The remaining piece of the puzzle is simply the patterning of the various pieces mentioned above, and a cost/price determination. I am meeting with the owner of the company tomorrow to go over the Reatta pieces I received from Jim. I expect that next week I will be able to announce kit pricing and begin delivery the week after that. I hope this comes as good news to everyone. One more thing, If you want Reatta mats made of this same matching carpet color, we can accomodate that also. Please be aware that this color is not a standard color and is being produced specifically for us in short runs (small quantities). Right now, we have enough to do about 15 to 20 sets only before having to order another run of specially dyed carpet. If you are interested in Beechwood carpet and need it PRIOR to the BCA Nationals, you may want to send me an email with your name, address, and phone number to get on the list. Stay tuned next week for what I expect will be the final update and announcement of availability. Alan
